👋 happy to help
Hello! Thank you kindly
but the same doesn't seem t be true for the above mentioned field
which field, sorry I'm not following
oh sorry now I get it, my bad
I'm not really sure how if do a bank account verification without doing a micro-deposit or using financial connections. I'm not really an expert on the matter to be honest.
Additionally, am I able to use other bank account numbers for testing purpose besides the one prescribed in this list
I don't think so
That would make sense to me too
We're going down the micro-deposit route
But, if possible, can you double check with another team on this issue? Our product manager insisted he needed full confirmation whether this is impossible
In that case, besides the { error: 'payment_method_invalid_parameter" } that does exist, are there any other errors that can appear in the ACH form?
Up until now I thought that this error was what would happen if I try to put in an erroneous bank account number: code: "payment_method_invalid_parameter_testmode" doc_url: "https://stripe.com/docs/error-codes/payment-method-invalid-parameter-testmode" message: "Invalid test mode account number (000123456) used. See a list of the valid account numbers at https://stripe.com/docs/payments/ach-debit/accept-a-payment#test-account-numbers." param: "payment_method_data[us_bank_account][account_number]" request_log_url: "https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/logs/req_pV70HNXe0hLkOm?t=1666799209"
Which was one I kept getting if I would try to input a different kind of bank account number other than the ones in that pre-approved list. Only after I searched a bit through the docs did the word testmode stick out to me like a sore thumb (I know, it should've been obvious lol) But just as a sanity check can you cofirm that this is the case?
And by the case, just for clarification, I mean, is this error one you can only see in testmode and only if you use a different bank account number besides those in the list. Sorry, I know I tend to write word salads
we don't have lists of every possible error I'm afraid
I guess to answer that question, that specific error message would only happen in test mode yes.
Oh dang. Well, will is be safe to assume then, that besides the routing number error I've been able to consistently surface, all other potential errors that might appear regarding ACH payment methods can only happen after the micro-deposit goes through?
well those errors happen days later for the most part so it's not related to the payment page
Yeah, true, that makes complete sense
