as you can see, there are multiple paymentMethodTypes but I cannot see any choice on my frontend. Only a card is possible. I've done some research and it seems that it's related to the fact that future payment will be off_session then SEPA is kind of "blocked"

Actually there is a way of using SEPA debit in subscriptions and it's explained here https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/sepa-debit
it's a bit different than the workflow you're using but it might be worth looking into

Hmm, I need to have a look at it. Do you know if this can be used with the paymentsheet? Because currently we already have a custom lib that handles card & sepa and we would like to migrate to stripe-react-native and then paymentsheet.

unfortunately PaymentSheets don't support SEPA
that might actually be the reason why you weren't able to see the SEPA option

the best thing to do here is to write to https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true explain your use-case and ask them to update you if or when this would be possible
