You can charge them in their local currency by creating price objects in the different currencies you'd need to accept. There would be a currency conversion fee, but it would be charged to your platform not the customer

#

Also, do you happen to be using Stripe Checkout?

#

What's your integration flow?

Can you share the invoice id?

#

If you use their local currency the conversion fee should be charged to you

Of course!

#

That's an open invoice though. Hasn't been paid yet

#

Invoice currency needs to be the same as what the customer's bank account/card is in to avoid fees on the customer's end

#

If that currency is different than your Stripe account's currency, then your Stripe account will be charged a conversion fee

The decline code is insufficient funds

#

Indicating their account didn't have enough balance though

Have had so many issues like this with customer even tho they had sufficient balance they still wouldn't be able to make a payment worth 1 penny if they used up their monthly limit of $50 even if they had thousands in the local currency

#

He could make purchases with that same card from websites originating from his country

#

Only way to fix the issue is if it won't show my website or company is from the UK

I read through the entire thread and I'm afraid that this limitation is on the issuing bank. There is not much Stripe can do, however, the user could reach out to their issuer to see if the limit could be raised.
