(Basically a reason as to why they are an adventurer) For this campaign specificially your characters would need a reason to travel from their homeland to Avacchia

It could be that they were chased out, were a stowaway on a ship, had a magical accident that landed them there, they heard a lost family heirloom may be there, they were assigned by their boss to conduct research there etc.

Haha what happened was only Val and Anya showed up and we decided to just do a oneshot as it wouldn't make sense to continue the main campaign... Anya decided to play as her campaign character and Val played a different one, so it was decided that the storyline would be canonized as a part of Anya's backstory :D, if a similar situation occurs another time or if 1-2-3 of you want to play a oneshot session that's also fit into your backstory we can always arrange it :3 I have a fair few oneshot ideas written somewhere in a notebook
