#Accessibility

Yeah this I agree with, as it's very hard to see the reticle, especially when shopping for items. (PS5)
Ooh, replying to hopefully get this post some attention. This is definitely something that should be done
you're best bet is to go to the hf2 canny.io and either suggest it or upvote if already suggested
Completely agree. The circle being white as a cursor with the background being white is absolutely frustrating to use to select things. Then its so small when in the game use can hardly see it.
I already posted this in another thread here, but it's relevant here so pasting:
Accessibility options like these are a must in games, and I wholeheartedly agree. There are great tools out there for devs to use, too. For example, you have font analyzers that check if the font is easily readable for people with dyslexia, and colour contrast checkers for making sure people that are colour blind can still see everything.
I'm sure this is just an oversight and not a conscious decision on the devs part. FD is one of the most accommodating studios I've seen and I can't imagine they would want people to have a difficult time with their game. Disabilities are just not on the forefront of peoples minds when designing most things.
Source: former webdesigner with several colourblind and dyslexic colleagues, so I know how to design stuff that's disability-friendly.
Just to add, the tool that checks for dyslexia also checks for bad eyesight. The font gets several checkmarks or crosses depending on what it's rated for. So it could be like,
Dyslexia: ✅
Impaired sight: ❌
Stuff like that. It also checks for colour contrasts between the font colour and backgrounds, etc
Even as a well sighted person I struggle to see the crosshair sometimes since it’s just a white dot
All but disappears on a lot of surfaces
If I could just make it a different shape it would be more useful
That, or context based shape. Like, if you hover over a door, it changes into a 🚪. If you hover over a lightswitch, it changes into a little💡. Stuff like that could help as well
