#Game doesn't load. Black screen when launched

Suddenly today the game doesn't load. Been installing and uninstalling countless time but the problem persist. Even when I tried using the different version to launch, it's still stucked at the black screen! HELP!! #1057610235839258715

I only have these 3....I just purchased Garden dlc today (before finding out the game would crash this way)

It's possible that antivirus is falsely detecting the file as malware, and deletes it

Do you have built-in Windows Security, or somehting else?

Could you verify the game files again? The file on my machine is a bit larger. it is present, but it shows like 1 KB bigger than yours

It might be a sign that the file is corrupted for some reason, steam might fix it, it might be necessary to reinstall the game again

So i think that my theory with the antivirus software deleting the file was correct
After you added it to the exception list - somehow - the file was either corrupted, or it was file from previous version taht steam mismatched - there is no way to be sure, but after you verified it, steam realised that this file was wrong and redownloaded the correct one, so it loads now 😄
