Glossary

Stab: Shortform for Stability, when referring to the Stability Index value, i'll usually refer to it as stab, with stability damage being referred as stab damage.
V#: The terminology for doll dupes in CN. Stands for Vertebrae. Called Fortification Segments (S#) in EN, but for the purpose of not mixing between that and skills, I will be using V.
R#: Weapon dupes, stands for Calibration Rank.
QJ: Shortform for Qiongjiu, also called QBZ (short for QBZ-191) by some.
WA/wawa/wa2k: Short for WA2000; called Makkiato/Macchiato/Maqiato in GFL2.
TLL: shortform for Tololo (AK-Alfa).
Suo: shortform for Suomi.
Nem/Neme: Shortform for Nemesis.
Shark: Shortening of Sharkry
CG: Short for Contamination Gauge, the TL for Confectance Index in CN before the game came to EN.

Introduction

#

I want to preface this by saying that some of this information is levied from both wewechoo's Info Sheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DogyU3K7ZXw2qbhP1EhRXIAw5nCyIV5G5e-QWviBZME/) as well as Snow's Progression guide (https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1vzm9GoT34A6VPFA-6dIaB4G7YYu36jhL5glpxZ9rNug); so please go check those out; especially as I may have skimmed, left out or gotten information wrong while reading through them and making this.

Introducing our Finnish Princess who loves Heavy Metal, Ceia Suomi is an Elite Support Class Doll whose main job is to provide shields to her allies with a little bit of healing and support attacks on the side. Her shields are so strong that you can make your team near-unkillable before they have to refresh, trivializing many levels in the game. Now without further ado, let's move onto a basic rundown on how to play her.

#

Gameplay Mechanics

#

In a typical scenario, Suomi's first job is to ult on the first turn in order to provide teamwide shields. This can be done with Fixed Key 2-03 - Little Guardian, which will give her 3 CF Index at the start of the first turn. Note that Suomi should always be going last when applying her shields as they last based on the unit's turn. This means that if you cast her ultimate first before any other units; their shields will last 1 turn less as they have not already completed their respective turn. From then on, you'll want to use Pelting Snowflake (BA) or Winter's Wrath (S1) depending on the context to deal damage while you wait for your CF gauge to come back online to recast her ult. When casting her S1, it's helpful to have allies within 6 tiles of her, as it contributes to one more stab damage dealt to each. Ideally, you should be ulting every 2 turns to upkeep the shield, which her passive will directly feed into (2 CF Index gained at the end of Suomi's every turn). This means that you should avoid casting Snow's Grace (S2) whenever possible as this will disrupt her action economy.

#

Should you pull?

#

Yes, absolutely. She makes your life so much easier not having to worry about bringing sustain in the form of conventional tanks or healers, and trivializes much of the game's current content. The only reason you shouldn't pull for her is if you want to keep the game challenging for yourself or you really don't like her design. suomipout

Breakpoints

#

Vertebrae (V) Segments

V1 - Provides global teamwide stability and HP healing on ult, which previously would only heal a small amount of HP on her passive (5% per turn to all allies within 6 tiles, 10% if they were below 50% HP)
V2 - Provides 15% more Freeze damage to allies who are shielded by her
V6 - defense buffs for allies, 2 more cleansed debuffs for a total of 3, also including Fear, Infatuated and Stun now, expansion of the ult's tiles, and an increase to her shield conversion as well as the maximum amount that can be applied to allies.
Weapon
I only recommend R1 if anything at all for every limited signature weapon
R1 - 10-20% shield boost applied to allies, also increased Freeze damage for Freeze teams (WA2K)

Do I need either of them?
NO. They're not necessary, just safety nets and damage increases respectively
But x told me they're required!
Suomi's perfectly playable at V0, V1 and R1 in particular are nice breakpoints but are doable without, especially once you get into lategame and her shield is large enough to encompass a unit's full HP, meaning that the shield will never break if you are playing properly.
What about pulling priority?
In my opinion, you should go for V0 > R1 > V1 > V2 > V6. The increased shields are nice for lowering the threshold in ATK stat you need to reach to hit 100% of your team's HP, and the Freeze damage is bonus is nice if you plan on pulling for WA2K, though I don't recommend going for it if you aren't pulling for at least V1R1 WA. In such cases, it's likely better to target V1 if anything, just know that it's not required at all for endgame contents and its only use is as a safety net for you fall back on.

#

Building Suomi

#

Weapon

Unspoken Calling (signature) > Classified Manuscript (BP SMG) > Suomi > any 4*
This is mainly because you just want to buff up her ATK stat to raise her shield value.

#

Attachments

The attachment set you should be prioritizing is Phase Strike.

#

Why Phase Strike? This is because:

  1. It will be useful for other SMG dolls down the line, such as Papasha (PPSh-41) and Vector
  2. Suomi really only cares about the stats on the attachments, the easily fulfillable requirement from Phase Strike is just a nice bonus, especially when she can apply it herself just through her passive or ult.
  3. A lot of other sets aren't worth the justification to farm for a minor uptick in efficiency/usability

Then what is her stat priority?
Attack Boost (ATK%) > Attack (Flat ATK) > HP% > DEF%
ATK is a priority as long as your Doll's shields do not fully cover their HP

#

Neural Helix / Fixed Keys

Required:
2-03 - Little Guardian - Allows her to ult on turn 1, keeping her action economy steady

Good:
2-01 - Unyielding Momentum - Restores her stability if the enemy is in Stability Break (either breaking or already broken) after using Winter's Wrath
6-03 - Logistics Support in Progress - Recovers 10% max HP and 1 stab at the end of her turn as long as her stab is above 0

Situational:
4-01 - Positive Feedback - Gives 1 CF index to Suomi when casting Snow's Grace as long as the target's HP is below 80%. Pretty much useless at V1 and above, and even then very difficult to use at V0
6-01 - Immovable cleanses and becomes immune to CC buffs for 1 turn upon being inflicted with them, then gains a shield for 3 turns. Situationally useful for PVP.

#

Basic Composition + Example Teams

#

Composition

What do you run when you have Suomi in your team? 3 DPS. Yes that's right, 3 DPS characters. When you have suomiDork, you'll have all the sustain and damage nullification one could wish for, so bringing more dolls that kill faster is better, in my opinion.

Example Teams

I got lucky / I rerolled / I aborrySwipeFaster for my team

QJ + Shark Core

QJ / Suo / Shark / Krolik or Lotta or Nemesis (Bossing)

Isn't Krolik bad?

Krolik is squishy yes, especially with her low stability. But Suomi existing makes this pretty much moot. Krolik is also the most consistent source of triggering Sharkry's Key 2-03 - Thermal Feedback, as she applies Overburn at the end of her turn as part of her passive. No one else can do it like her until QJ at V3.
Why Lotta?
She's free to earn an V6R6 out of, and makes a good character for mobbing stages.
Why Nemesis?
Action Support + DEF down, which is useful for bosses, though her low movement hampers her in more typical stages, especially objective/evacuation levels.

#

QJ + Tololo Metastomping

QJ / Suo / TLL / Groza or Lotta or Neme (Bossing)

Tololo works pretty much universally well due to the 2nd action embedded in her kit, allowing her to move and attack again after an attack when her CF Index is full.

Why Groza?

Groza's passive allows her to counterattack once per turn, feeding Qiongjiu another support attack. If she uses her S2, this is increased to twice for that turn.
Why Lotta?
See above for the first team.
Why Nemesis?
Ditto.

#

Suomi is my only Elite Doll

Sharkry Core

Suo / Shark / Krolik / Groza or Lotta or Nem

Again, this team relies on Krolik proccing Overburn to enemies in order for Sharkry to capitalize off her support attacks from her 2nd fixed key. If you really have trouble with Krolik, you can debate replacing her with Ksenia V1, just know that it'll be less consistent because her only application of Overburn is on her S1.

#

I only use the Starter Dolls

Suo / Krolik / Groza / Nem

Hey, it's usable.

#

Closing Thoughts

#

And with that, ends this bad guide. I hope you were able to learn something from this as long as it was correct anyways. Please ping me in #🧮theorycrafting-en or #📚ask-help-en if you have any inquiries, suggestions (especially for the team compositions) or you just want to yell at me. Thanks for taking the time to read through this.

it needs to proc the overburn effect specifically towards the enemy

Just to double check, as an F2P who doesn't have guarantees of the future, it's actually safer to pull for V1 instead of the weapon, and the recommendation of R1 first is directed at dolphins and whales?

I got myself QJ shark core with suomi. Sometimes I think ksenia is not a bad last slot (I do have lotta krolik neme in mind) maybe keep them at lvl 30. And I gotta decide the actual 4th? Wdyt (I have mosin nagant but maybe thats for lenna comp)

Also buffs will usually not be worth because qj + shark have keys to give themselves FAII

can still run her or lotta if you find krolik dying too often

For qj suomi Sharkry - is krolik still better than someone like lotta, ksenia, or even like mosin nagant?

I have suomi with segment 2 is her weapon worth getting at this point or just save?

lavish prawn
lavish prawn
#

You can replace her for someone like mosin but shark's dps output will be negatively affected

#

Ksenia also doesnt proc as consistently (+ needs v1)

#

As well as the fact that her buffs can be picked up from neural keys so she's mostly there only for the occasional ob proc, supp attack and the flammable items debuff

north musk
# lucid shell For qj suomi Sharkry - is krolik still better than someone like lotta, ksenia, o...

I dont have qj, but can confirm Krolik is a consistent source of overburn. You cant autopilot with her on team, but if you take advantage of her passive (end turn AoE overburn in smart locations) and both skills, Sharkry can comfortably support multiple times.

Helps clear out mobs whose stabilty is down from other units or against boss where sharky can attack again to lower stability even more for my Tololo to come and do beeg dmg.

Also suomi means Krolik isnt squishy, if you have her key, you'll have permashield

native escarp
#

I got that Phase Strike is universal and pretty much fits for every T-dolls making it cost efficient, however I don't understand the logic behind not getting ultimate pursuit for Suomi

#

The point of KP-31 is the shield meaning that it's wise to prioritze buffing her shield instead of increasing the damage, furthermore it should be noted that Phase Strike does not increase her initial damage thus NOT buff her shield

north musk
#

ahh also, suomi strangely does decent dmg on her own, so it's not a loss buffin her dmg (if u see the post battle stats)

my main issue with Krolik is that her AoE attack (which seems to be the one you want to use most?) doesn't proc QJ's support attacks on the team

#

but I guess this would be true of any AoE character?

#

Later on, will Krolik be replaced by new SSR DPS units?

I am slightly confused by the naming convention when you say "R1" provides 10-20% shield boost.

From how the guide is worded, I understood that:

V0 = just the doll

and

V1 = 1 dupe copy pulled.

But then, weapons don't start at R0, but at R1?
