#Chum Foul Stench

A warbeast can never have more fury points than its FURY stat, so yes that sounds right (if it had stat of 3 originally, in your example)
Just to clear up.
If a Warbeast with a FURY stat of 3 has 3 fury on it, then walks in range of Foul Stench, it will lose the fury token as David said,
If the Warbeast has a FURY stat of 4, but only 3 fury on it, it does not lose a fury as the Stat was not reduced to below what fury it has on it
Thank you for being specific. This was what I had in mind but it's too early in the morning for me.
Follow-up: can you confirm that a model advancing in and out of foul stench can effectively gain "infinite" fury?
Best example that comes to mind would be MMD with Swift Hunter: forces to 5 Fury while 6" away from Chum, walks 1" towards Chum (FURY and Fury reduced to 4), then 1" away (now FURY 5) can now force again for another reload.
It would work like that, but the benefit would be limited by how many times the warbeast can advance into and out of range of the effect during its activation.
huh so if you go in and out of 5" multiple times, it minus more than 1 FURY?
When you enter, you suffer -1 FURY, but once you leave, your FURY stat returns to normal.
So if a warbeast had, for example, a FURY stat of 4 and the Overtake rule, and was forced to a full 4 fury points resulting in it destroying an enemy model with a melee attack (triggering Overtake), if it were close enough to "toe" into the Foul Stench aura and out again, it would lose 1 point of FURY (causing 1 of the fury tokens to fall off) when it entered and after it left it could be forced again, e.g. to buy another melee attack, since it now has fewer FURY tokens (3) than its FURY stat (4).
okay gotcha. i see where this is going now.
