#no vibration

what games are you testing it with? could you share screenshots of your DSX settings and stuff? mainly the Virtual Controllers tab and the Haptics | Rumble tab
try disabling Send Data to Device and then try
in Native Mode, DSX doesn't have full control over the controller, so if it is trying to send data and the game is trying to send data, sometimes there is conflict and stuff. turning that off will prevent DSX from trying to send anything to the controller that might override what the game is sending
if that doesn't work, maybe try one of the emulation modes
Hi there
I tried turning off send data to device and also emulation modes and still no vibrate
^
Does it vibrate in any other games?
No it doesnt work in any game
It works when I DSX is off but when DSX is off it vibrates the right side more than the left
Can you list some games you have that it doesn't work with? Idk much about that fatal frame game but maybe with some others I might know what to have you try
Stardew Valley maybe?
I dont have stardew valley. I tried RE 9 Apex Legends Fatal Frame Atomic Heart nothing has any vibrate
If you set DSX to Xbox emulation mode with Rumble Passthrough enabled in the Virtual Controllers tab, and have it set to Rumble Mode in the Haptics | Rumble tab, and after that open RE9, does it have rumble?
Ok so that seemed to work it vibrates now but now its the left side vibrating more than the right
it only seems to work (vibrate) when Audio to Rumble is enabled
what if you turn Audio to Rumble off?
Then I get 0 Vibrate
okay ya. if you press Shift + Tab and open the Steam Input window, what controller does Steam show you're using?
can you show a screenshot of the steam input window?
okay. can you show a screenshot of this hidhide tab in DSX?
do you remember if you installed HidHide?
can you go to this site, press a few buttons, and send a screenshot? https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad
Displays info about all gamepads connected to your computer. Check buttons, joystick axes, drift, vibration, and more. Works with all controllers and joysticks in a modern browser.
okay it looks like HidHide is not hiding the controller properly. try adding C:\Program Files\Nefarius Software Solutions\HidHide\x64\HidHideClient.exe to the applications list in the HidHide tab inside DSX
ok just added
try switching to native mode and then back to xbox mode. then close your browser completely and open that site again and test pls
hoping to see only the xbox controller
Just did
okay ty. let's try something different
- Close DSX completely
- Press Windows Key and type "Installed Apps" and open that Windows Installed Apps settings page. Search for "Nefarius" and if HidHide shows up, uninstall it
- Reboot
- Open DSX, go to HidHide tab, install HidHide
- Reboot
- Open DSX, set it to Xbox Emulation mode
- Open https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad and press some buttons and send a screenshot
Displays info about all gamepads connected to your computer. Check buttons, joystick axes, drift, vibration, and more. Works with all controllers and joysticks in a modern browser.
rumble appears to work, although it seems like the right side vibrates slightly more than the left

a lot better feeling though
that might be normal, especially if the difference is slight. i think one side is supposed to resemble a strong rumble motor and the other a weak rumble motor
i haven't noticed it myself but i think that's the case
Thanks Pepe

Here's a ship for your efforts
tyvm. you're welcome and happy gaming!
do you ever recommend the rumble to audio feature? What is that meant for exactly?
Audio to Rumble will convert your system audio into rumble. so if you play a song the controller will vibrate along with the song. there's also a haptics version of this feature which is much more nuanced in the Haptic Feedback section
