When using shortcuts with BT, the option works as intended. Game doesn't see the buttons used. However when using the DualSense with cable connection no matter which position "Button Passthrough" it always passes it to the game.

It makes sense for native mode, because DSX can't block buttons in native mode since there isn't a layer between the controller and the game that DSX has control of. It can only add things on top.
But hmm ya that sounds like a bug if it's happening in dualsense emulation too, I'll have to try it out later and see if it happens for me too!

Yeah, at first I thought the same thing. But when I tried it with the dualsense emu. it didn't block shortcut buttons from affecting the game.

Just need to know which buttons/combos are used for those shortcuts though so indeed please do share your profile virtualgurel

Also, maybe the issue stems from plugging in the controller without its USB id having already been saved by Persistent Device Hiding in HidHide so before it got added, the physical device over USB could still be seen by the game if you were already in-game

But this worked. And it would be nice to have some kind of reminder in the button passthrough option that is saying "if you plug it mid-game it can have problems." or something like that.

Glad it was that simple 🙂 You can still make use of Fix Double Input to try to mitigate the issue if it's done in-game but a reminder, idk tbh, sounds overkill when this potential outcome is first introduced when onboarding the app and being at the (crucially important) HidHide install step
