#Using dsx for a game on epic

Only if you intend on using an emulation mode, but since the virtual Dualsense mode is the one without Audio as things are as of today, you'd lose the Haptic Feedback (only DS feature the PC port supports) so wouldn't be worth it
Once virtual Dualsense with Audio gets released though, you'll likely want to use it with BT Audio to get wireless native Haptics 🙂
The native support on epic games Is just as shitty as on steam
So i want to play the game with dsx to enhance gameplay
How do i do it properly
You'd have to use an emulation mode so there is no conflict between data sent by the game and data sent by DSX
But once again, this would make you lose native wired haptic feedback as things are right now
So it's a compromise either way
How do i solve this
You don't for now
Just play in Native mode and wired to get haptics
Or use an emulation mode so you can add Adaptive Triggers you'll have to set up yourself but this won't feel as good as a dynamic Adaptive Triggers support like good implementations or DSX mods can provide
This is the only game im having problems with
Playing with dsx on other games never had problems
I heard that this game has less haptics and adaptive trigger support on pc
What do you mean good implementations
I've just told you the game only supports Haptics
So you can't have something it doesn't provide (namely native Adaptive Triggers effects)
Games that make good use of the Dualsense features like Haptics, SpeakerFX, LED & Adaptive Triggers effects
Sorry for mentioning the triggers
I knew that there isnt any
I was talking about the feedbacks
Hogwarts on PC is a low effort port when it comes to Dualsense, that's just how it is
Hopefully someone finally makes a DSX Mod for the game to bring feature parity with the PS5 version
Or almost feature parity since PS5 also has Gyro controlled flight
Im pretty surprised no one has done any mods for this game
I
Which could only be achieved user side anyway on PC
Thanks for the help anyways
Btw the new update for the bt haptics and all is just beta version right
Yes
I havent tried it yet
Hows it so far
Well pretty nice and fancy for a lot of users
Most are expecting the vDS Audio passthrough update though, but it's already a pretty solid feature set 🙂
So we can play games with haptics and triggers without needing wire
Thats greatt!!!
Can u help me with the audio to haptics mode
I dont know how to use cuz i dont understand it
It captures whatever is played in your system audio device (say your stereo headphones or a set of speakers)
And routes that capture into the Dualsense Speaker and/or its Haptics coils
The sound source on the mode is speakers(dualsense wireless controller)
So how does this work
So if that's something you want, just need to make sure to select the correct audio source device (if using the old Audio to Haptics that works wired only - the one in Haptics section of Haptics | Rumble) and route to the proper channels; or just let it be auto selected (if using the BT Audio section) and select what you want it to do
It will not
Select the relevant source
You don't use your controller speaker as your main system audio output I assume, so select the one you do use
The other ones are my laptops speakers
But if i enable that then sounds come out from my controller
That's the point of the feature if you want it to
But you don't have to set it up to have audio coming out of your controller, it's all optional
How do i disable that
Depends which mode you're using
If Audio to Haptics in the Haptics section of Haptics | Rumble, then look for channel routing and enable/disable what you want/don't want
If System Audio Capture in BT Audio section there, then toggle Speaker/Headset off
hello
im playing fallout 76 currently and i want to know why i cant get the vibrations when i emulate ds5 to xbox controller
Hello, that would most likely be because you may have overlooked rumble pass through in Virtual controller or to enable Rumble in the haptics rumble page
i already enable both of the options
Then maybe something else is preventing it from getting rumble
Do you have the Haptics|Rumble page set to rumble or are you in another tab ?
Can you check in Live Data Feed whether it's actually getting Rumble data or not ?
(in Virtual Controller)
In Virtual Controllers tab
its supposed to be like this right
Yep
And you can expand the Live Data Feed card to read what the virtual controller is fed
i need to be playing the game is it to get the entries
Of course
Or use anything that will send data to the virtual controller
So a testing website would do as well
okay just a minute
Take your time, better not to rush for these things
if im not mistaken there was an option to test rumble on dsx right
No ?
Then you would have used a third party website/software in conjunction I guess
ive found few websites to test but there is no option to test rumble
and ive not been getting any entries
Then just test in game I guess ?
Awesome 🙂
For that you need HidHide installed, properly configured (all toggles in DSX's HidHide tab enabled except the Inverse Application Cloaking) and if it's already configured properly, you may have switched emumation mode/connected your controller whilst the game was already running so you can try the Fix Double Input button 🙂
but i wont get any rumble right
If the game sends rumble data to the emulated controller, you should get
i remember you saying that if you have hidhide installed i would sacrifice something
is it for haptics or normal rumble mode
Doubt I ever said anything like that
HidHide is necessary for DSX to work properly when using any emulation mode
Apologies for the late reply
What I meant by this is that if you wanted have Haptic Feedback from games, as things are currently you need to use DSX's Native mode and be wired because the emulated Dualsense mode doesn't have Audio channels attached to it (= "vDS Audioless" as we refer to it usually)
Native mode implies HidHide will not be hiding your physical controller to other softwares (games) included
Whereas for emulation modes, you need HidHide hiding your physical controller to other softwares otherwise you can get that double input issue in some games (because a game seeing both the physical and the virtual controller will receive inputs from both, hence the double input problem)
hey man
im currently playing cyberpunk and there is a mod available on dsx for the game
can u tell me what is the mod for and how do i install it
It offers customizable Adaptive Triggers and LED effects, follow instructions on Nexus regarding the installation
does the game offer haptics
Yes, along with Speaker FX, but no wireless Rumble or Rumble Fallback
does it come with the mods or the base game already has haptics???
