So i just bought the DSX from steam, and I watched a video how to set up. For some reason when I try the DSXGame that is suggested to test out the triggers it just doesn't work, there is also no rumble whatsoever. I have changed the setting in the audio for the controller in the properties and enahncement tab. Still doesn't work.
#Adaptive Triggers Not Working

I'm not sure the DSXGame you're referring to is working properly, it's a very old demo app (unless it's not what you're talking about)
You'd have better luck trying a game with Native Dualsense support with Adaptive Triggers
As for the Audio settings, they will only affect the controller when it's wired and is sent Haptic Feedback and/or Speaker effects in such games
I would also warmly invite you to update DSX to 3.1 beta
yeah the demo app doesn't seem to be working. I guess i will update to 3.1 beta and check and come back here
i have gotten the haptics to work, but now i have to test if the adaptive triggers will work
They absolutely should 🙂
Okay so they work, but the audio quality to my headphones have taken a hit, doesnt sound that great
Oh, is this compared to v2 or without DSX ?
im using 3.1 like u said. so without DSX, when i didnt use haptiocs the sound was good, now that i use haptiics the sound feels really off
Are your headphones plugged in the controller or separate ?
By feeling off do you mean low volume or bad sound/crackles etc ?
Then check your controller audio settings in both windows first (just to be sure) and mostly in DSX
My Controller tab
General settings, audio
It might just be the headset output is set too low
ill try this
Tried experimenting but yeah there is a difference when i plug my headphones in PC vs plugging it in controller, well its not a dealbreaker ig but something to note
audio in the DSX app was 100 only so yeah no problems there
Still if there's a regression in sound quality coming from DSX v2, that's a bummer
yeah, maybe it happens cuz i connected to controller
But thanks anyways, can close this ticket, if i face problems with adpative triggers i shall reopen another one. Thanks for the help, i got haptics to work and thats amazing
okay apparently that is the case
Glad you're happy with it 🙂 I'll just mark it as solved but you can add to it any time you want, ideally related to its og topic but also for continuing on audio, makes it easier for everyone 🙂
its the audio jack
okays
The DS jack I wouldn't use personally but it's kind of the most underlooked feature afaik
