Icon replacer working means lml is working (it's an asi mod loader) so you should have the rdr2 dsx mod working already, my bet is you don't have Incoming UDP enabled in DSX's settings, network, do the firewall thingy first if not done already then simply toggle incoming UDP on and make sure dsx port is set to its default (6969)
Your going to have to dumb that down a lot
Idk what I coming udon is but I’ll check that out
And what firewall thingy
Not that much actually, basically I'm saying you seem to have all the right files installed and mods working properly based on what you described and posted.
As for the DSX part with the firewall thingy & Incoming UDP, it's super simple : you just head to DSX's settings (in-app), go to the Network tab.
There you'll either have a green shield showing if the Firewall exception is working properly, if not, it'll tell you what to do.
Once you get the green shield, you just need to toggle "Incoming UDP" on. Expand it to get the Incoming UDP port to show so you can check if it's 6969. If it is, then you should be golden 🙂
Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't notice you had the DSX v3 tag in your support ticket, for this to work, you need to update to DSX v3.1 beta
so do i still need to do the steps you said above
ive updated to 3.1 beta
Yes, sorry again for not realising sooner
lol no worries
sick i did all those steps, one last thing, my dualsense is currently set to allow signalrgb to take control of it, will the mod be able to automatically use the dualsense or will the rgb settings collide
It's working ? 🙂
Best case scenario, only RGB will collide but it's likely to mess other stuff if you keep SignalRGB enabled (Dualsense part at least) so better turn it off (or just disable the Dualsense effects in SignalRGB when playing the game)
And by disabling its effects, I mean disable the device altogether (I don't use SignalRGB but basically it's taking control of the controller so safest bet is having it turned off)
👍
also you may not know the answer to this, but do i need to use vulkan instead of directx12?
in a video i watched they said it required vulkan
and other sources say if i dont use mods that alter graphics i dont need vulkan
vulkan crashes frequently for me
Sorry I don't know, I've actually never used Vulkan in RDR2 and since I don't use any of the mods explicitly requiring it, I won't (I hate Vulkan lol)
