DSX 3.1 Beta Does not Launch After New Update

same thing happened to me this morning..

Standard troubleshooting locked Steam up so hard it would not even close as DSX was still hanging

For me i had to manually close DSX from the task manager for it to end

same, plus i had to clear the Cache on my Steam to get DSX to actually stop

it just showed as running in Steam and the 4 failed attempts were all running in Task Manager also and i had to manually close each there also to get DSX to actually stop as i restarted Steam and it showed DSX as "Stopping" en perpetuity

though the amount of data in these logs is a bit much for them to ask us to publicly post instead of a ticket, so now i have that to add to the list

have you tried clearing your Cache in Steam?

DSX stopped after i killed it from task manager and steam stopped being frozen on "stopping", didnt clear the cache but rolled back to non-beta version afterwards to keep dsx working

Did clearing cache solve your issue of not being able to launch ?

yep, i just had to manually clear the application and all services before i could do so

still this should be fixed given it is an IO Error

When you launch it @high vapor can you check in task manager if any process DSX... is there more than once?

Also when you launch it pls fire up Event Viewer, got to Application logs and share screenshots of any errors that may show up at the same time as the launch

Or anyone else @here affected

v3.1 Beta 1.41 seems have have launched now without any issues after updating today from non-beta version

no im only seeing one DSX now

but it seems to have launched now without any error

Hot fixes were pushed out silently to fix any remaining issues, DSX should start properly for everyone
