#can i make the dpad work as the joystick

Good point
We will think about implementing this mode.
It is highly likely that this will be implemented in 3.2, but perhaps if we have time, we will implement it in 3.1.
I'm gonna assume that this still hasn't been implemented? I noticed we are able to rebind specific joystick movements to different button presses, but can't seem to do the reverse.
@visual cypress any news about this?
For now i looking for another feature. but i had plans for this one
The reverse will not happen, due to potential issues like recoil control or "Aim assist". I will not let DSX get banned by top games.
@terse aspen as for Touchpad -> joystick, ill work on it now, as i have the functionality ready, but UI needs work for users to enable it.
That is... unfortunate. I mostly wanted access to the functionality for non-Steam games (since Steam Input provides that option). A game I started playing, Dragon Age: Inquisition, uses the left joystick for navigating menus, and you can't rebind it to use the dpad in-game. You also can't rebind the d-pad (with your software) to emulate keyboard presses because the game, for some reason, restricts control of the game to either controller or keyboard & mouse--both at the same time is an impossibility.
Would appreciate some kind of leeway here: dlc, separate "casual" and "pro gamer" versions of the software, etc. Feels pretty shitty to not get access to a feature for single-player games because of "pro-gamer sweat lords" in multiplayer ones.
Obviously your program though, so you do you.
vKBM is almost done so you'll soon be able to use Keyboard mappings in this game 🙂
It's been half a year I don't even remember what game I was playing that lead me to make this request LMAO
i think its counts only when you bind mouse to joystick. not for controller buttons.
i think this ok
if user makes vDS in another app like rewasd from mouse (to dpad as example) and trying make stick from dpad on dsx after that - This will be extremely unplayable. Because the speed of movement and other parameters will not be transmitted.
i suppose only making from analog buttons (like triggers) or right buttons on ds3
but we can just provide for this (besides we don't support these ds3 buttons, and triggers not a problem)
@thin bolt so what you think?
