DualSense controller emulated as Xbox even with DS emulation selected | DSX Official Server | Page 1

I installed ds4windows this morning while the server issue was going on, and after getting DSX back up and running all of my games now only see my DS Edge controller as an Xbox controller. I have DualSense Emulation selected under virtual device, yet games like Destiny 2 are giving me Xbox controller prompts and the touchpad no longer works. I assume this has something to do with the DS4Windows installation...I already went thru and uninstalled any programs it had me install, but I'm unsure what to do at this point as that did not fix the issue.

I used Legacinator and uninstalled DSX, VirtualPad and HidHide. After reinstalling all of the above, I am still getting Xbox emulation in games even when using DualSense.

Maybe the games you are playing don't have PS glyphs or you have somehow got steam input enabled

they do though

they worked previously, until this morning where the emulation for DS no longer works

#

on top of that, the touchpad no longer works either

i have disabled steam input and that did not fix the issue either

this is really frustrating

been trouble shooting for over two hours now

literally nothing seems to reset DSX back to how it was working prior to this morning

@west fjord @vivid adder I was able to fix the issue by doing a Windows System Recovery to approximately one week ago, which undid the registry changes impactrd by installing DS4Windows etc. after rebooting Windows and dsx, I was prompted to reinstall the VirtualPad driver as it said the credentials had expired

Upon doing all of this, I am now able to use the DualSense emulation correctly again
