#Battery Status not updating

There is a difference between the two versions for some reason, use a wall charger
How are you sure the controller is fully charged?
It was charged over night and i used it, after i opened this thread for over 3 hours. Might not be 100% but for sure more than 0/5%
That means nothing, especially if you used the PC
It may very well be 0/5%
You should use a charging dock or a wall charger, pc/laptop connection is not adequate for charging the controller
Or check with a playstation to be sure
The battery readout is as accurate as we can get it (the controller does not report accurate percentages but rather certain compressed levels)
I will try a wall charger and give an update on this. I dont have a Playstation to compare
I am using my controller only wired and it also stays between 0% and 20%
Wired doesn't mean it's charging fast enough, especially if you are using it while it's connected, it drains faster than it charges
When plugged in, it can show the following states:
0, 5, 15, 25, ..., 95, 100 %
not plugged in, the same but without 0% and 100%, just 5% up to 95%
this is how the controller reports its battery values
Sony's fault
But the rest is just charging issues, it's a very power hungry controller
oh ok, i thought it would charge up to 100% while using it
It can if you use it over bluetooth and use a wall charger/fast charge port
Okay nvm, after charging with wall charger it is okay now .. its just a little bit confusing considering the controller was charging via USB-fastcharge port of the mainbord and was plugged in several hours without being used.
Was it flashing orange or was it still connected?
If it's still connected with blue LEDs or something and not the strobing orange lights, then it's not charging properly
It was Orange
