#Can I configure DSX to ignore a game?

In v3 use native emulation
I was using v2 cause the cyberpunk mod didn't seem to properly connect through UDP on v3
I will try to go back to v3 then
I wouldn't use V2 with a native game
So if I play both native and modded I should be swapping?
That's what I would do for now.
Immm I'm trying it out now and when I have the app open triggers feel better than with v2 but worse than native, some kind of config must be applying or something
You must have some settings set incorrectly.
So should I try to redo the config file and without touching anything set native mode when I play Ratchet and Clank and should be as good as if the program is closed?
I've played ratchet and clank, I will see what settings work best when I get time, I mean its not difficult to play about with the settings, I have no idea what you have been doing after all
I just got a DualSense controller 3 days ago, I did play it with Xbox One controller and the jump regarding the triggers was incredible, but when I tried with the program opened it wasn't the same, sometimes the shield weapon not firing, sometimes doing with the right resistance but for the next shot it would have less resistance..., weird stuff
Toggle constant data communication, also put takeover control slider to the right
I know what you mean, I just can't remember off the top of my head the best settings
Aight gonna try
okay now it works better
but after two seconds (the slider time) it uses the profile I had created for GTA
would this have something to do? the profile I mean
Cause I thought once you create a profile you could apply it to the games so it directly uses it (kinda like I wanted to do with GTA)
But it doesn't show it
That profile in the game library is completely irrelevant, it doesn't link to anything, it's not completed
Oh okay
Then I guess the issue is that it applies my GTA profile every 2 seconds now (which before was 1 second)
Are you playing the game wirelessly or wired by the way?
Wired
I'm trying to connect it via BT but I'm having problems getting it recognised by the pc, once I do I'll let you know how it goes wirelessly
Okay it seems wirelessly works fine
Hmm now it doesn't...
It's doing the 2s thing again
So I'm guessing whenever the game tells to the controller to update it's stuff either motor vibrations or resistance it works fine for 2 secs
I honestly think something is wrong, it doesn't seem to be working how I remember, no footsteps Haptics.
On your end you mean?
Yes
I do get footstep haptics
If that means when walking you get a small vibration in the controller
This is what I have configured rn
Wireless they are there, but wired not for me, remember wireless you are not getting haptics just normal rumble, something is not right, play the game wired without DSX and you will see
@uneven wyvern as I said in your DM native mode doesn't work properly. I'm sure it was better. Something you changed recently?
I think it works fine for me
In both wired and wireless but DSX closed
Like rn the best experience for me is closing dsx and playing the game natively
Yes, I mean that's the way it's meant to be played but native emulation should also work just the same.
Yea judging by the name I expected native mode making so the program doesn't alter anything
Yep, it's off definitely. I'm sure it was working better though.
Btw if you guys find / make the fix @ me cause I'd like to be able to keep it open and just change the emulation type
Cause I don't think you can set the emulation type for each game individually, right?
Wrong
You can make a profile for each game, but instead of using the library page , just change it in the profiles page
Oh but then I have to manually change it?
But you will still need to make a profile, so until the library page is complete that's the only way
Well so far I didn't mess with the program too much so I don't have the urge to do so, once I find all the potential it has I'll see if I care enough or wait for the library
you will use the profile in the library that you make, they are not making them for you.
From my testing, I had the same issue, but what I did was open the HH client disable the enable device hiding checkmark, then in DSX HH page, I re-enabled HH and it started working normally again
I tried to diagnose the issue, but no luck in figuring it out, as the API didn’t show any errors when removing a device, but for some reason removing the device from the hidden devices list in the HH page worked
So not sure
Sorry for my ignorance but what would HH be?
Oh HidHide
So I need to add Rift Apart path in application list?
Also I've noticed the button should say Refresh devices list if I'm not mistaken
no that's a differnt topic than what you want
Oh alright
yeah this was fixed for next beta
Aighty
Thanks for the answer but I think we are talking about two different things. I'm referring to the haptics in native mode this time, not the hidhide issue.
That's a shame. I hope you can find a solution soon.
Sorry for asking again, but what did we end up with here? Is the issue able to be fixed for next version?
Either make the program ignore a certain game or fixing native
I'm not sure if it will be the next update but there will be some adjustment to how native mode works in the near future
