There was one, back in the early DSX 1.0 days (called DualSenseX back then) but iirc it was simply an only one mode AT mod.
Anyway, you don't need any mod for RL, just set the trigger mode you prefer the feel of in DSX and play like that (it will be the same as with that old mod, except you get to choose the trigger mode yourself)

@Killface , seeing on your github you're working on updating your mod (so glad), just wanted to let you know it currently works flawlessly when it comes to ATs in GTA V but for the LED, only using the textfile thing makes it work but it's a stutterfest on my machine when I do, thankfully it's not the other way around but still, I hope it's just a caveat of using the textfile and next update won't require it at all as I doubt v3 mod support will even have textfile mode when it's eventually out.
Anyway, looking forward to trying out this update of yours 🙂

cyberpunk supports dualsense natively now
I only have resistance in triggers but not hd vibration when shooting in cyberpunk, I dont know why and how to solve it.
Here is more about Limai's mod, it doesn't bring "HD vibration" (Haptics), only native DS support does.
So it's either Limai's mod to be used with DSX v2 emulating an Xbox controller (enhanced & customizable trigger feedbacks + led features) wirelessly or wired. You'll get basic rumble (I'd recommend using improved motor rumble option in v2)
Or Native support with basic non customizable trigger feedbacks, no led features but Haptic Feedback (HD vibration), wired only. Oh and controller speaker support for some rare sounds in-game. (Don't need DSX at all for this)
You can technically achieve a "hybrid mode" using DSX v2 without emulation but with limai's mod and your controller wired to get all features but native trigger feedbacks can be a tad conflicting at times with Limai's custom ones. (This is wired only too)
FYI for GTAV : since latest updates, Killface's DSX mod won't work with SHVDN (from late 2022).
You'll need to download latest SHVDN Nightly for it to work.

The mod I made uses data provided to 3rd party devs by the game devs. So it can adjust pressure on the triggers based on TC and ABS activation but also adds dynamic load based on the brake pressure

but it's based on an official series, where AC(the first title) is more or less a driving simulator.. so lots of car and track mods

I would like to create a DSX mod for a game. Where do I start looking? Is there a code repository somewhere to use? A tutorial on how to make a basic project?
noob here on DSX mods
When trying to run a DSX mod, for example for FH5, do you have to set DSX on dualSense emulation, or native mod when running the mod ?

At the moment, you'll still have to run DSX v2, so :
- Either use the launch v2 button top left of DSX v3's UI
- Or hold the Esc key when launching DSX v3 to launch v2 instead
- Or you can toggle the launch v2 option in v3 Settings>Behavior for v2 to load automatically (then if you want to get back in v3, just hold Esc when launching DSX)
When v3.1 releases (next update), there won't be a v2 anymore to launch as it will integrate v2's mod system so that should end up being plug-and-play for everyone.

Is there a Dualsense mod for Control Ultimate Edition? If not, I'm interesting in implementing one. Is there a playground project I can use? I guess if I am able to read memory and detect when a specific gun is used I can send specific profiles with different triggers configurations to DSX. Please let me know if someone has any idea! Glad to know you're interested in making such a mod.
I'm not sure how that game's modding works but if on Nexus you find enough stuff to look into relevant hooks functions methods of theirs & all, then it will all be down to making your mod talk with DSX through UDP. No need to make use of profiles though (mods can't just yet anyway), just a UDP client should handle it all, whatever you have in mind.
I don't remember where it is on GitHub but there's some documentation for mod devs from Pali on how DSX mod system works.

You don't need to close DSX.
Can just use a DSX profile with emulation mode set to Native without the Send Data to Device option enabled.
You can try the Send Data to Device option enabled if there is stuff you want DSX to control but as mentioned in #💬┃general it's a hit or miss thing depending on the game. Some work just fine, some get their haptics & LED effects messed up with.

Okay, is there a tutorial on how to use/work with the app? I have no idea what im doing 😭 ive got the racing dsx mod and the dsx app installed. But when i run the racing dsx.exe it comes up with a seperate app?

Can anybody help I'm gonna lose my mind. I got the latest version of RacingDSX. I set the loopback settings for Forza Horizon 4. UDP settings seems okay in DSX. Data output is set to 127.0.0.1 and port is 5300 in-game. But somehow I still can't manage to getting the RacingDSX working. I tried everything and I don't know what else to try.

idk if its just me, but v3.1 doesn't work for mods at all, i tested forza mods and rdr2. When i switch back to v2, it works.
Less than 48hrs post patch, less than 24h post core mods updates..

I'm just assuming they will as imo it wouldn't make sense for them to work on a mandatory DS support with DS features on PS5 (otherwise they couldn't publish it there) but not update the PC version with matching support (even with the wired caveat for Haptics)
Considering they have Impulse Triggers support for Xinput controllers, I'd expect Adaptive Triggers at the very least
Hey, I've been using the mod for Cyberpunk 2077, and it's worked fine, but now after a bluescreen, the mod doesn't start or appear in the native settings UI. It seems to partially load, as the controller glyphs and Cyber Engine Console show it, but the mod itself won't work. Any help?

I'm working on once again improving the active triggers in Race Element, it will require usage of DSX 3.1+ (so use beta version for now).
The options in the image will change, this is behaving more dynamically and smoother than it used to do!
i recommend updating that top description by removing the 5 and just calling it the official name: DualSense Controller or DualSense Wireless Controller

Make sure you enable the incoming UDP or go to the controller profile and visit the Haptics | Rumble tab.

How did you enable adaptive triggers in Cyberpunk? It gives me a UDP port error even though I set these correctly.

What version of DSX are you using?
Make sure you're on the beta version of DSX latest (in steam for the DSX software go to the gear icon properties, then betas, then the dropdown for 3.1 latest. It'll update your program from there. Also I had to set my DSX profile to native emulation to make it work and make sure steam input for DSX as well as steam overlay in that same properties window is toggled off. Then make sure Cyberpunk's steam input is off.
I downloaded Control version 1.30 (new patch) and DSX 3.143 (beta), but the Dualsense features don't work. The emulation is installed as if I have an Xbox 360. Maybe i need to wait for the mod to be updated for the new version of the game?
Then I removed Beta mode, updated it to version 3.05, and adaptive triggers started working, but not quite correctly. When you aim, the L2 vibrates, but there should be a different effect. The instructions say that the DSX version should be 3.1, but is it only 3.05 in steam, or is everything correct?
Or maybe need to buy dlc update for dsx ?

Using DSX 3.0.5, you don't get mod support so you'll want either the old 2.5 or new 3.1 beta (both having mod system). You dont need to buy the dsx virtual dualsense dlc

and then setup Wireguard on it
using Wireguard me and anyone else connected to the VPN Server can essentially use SMB Protocol to Encrypt Any access to my friends Network Drives from over the internet
it's essentially a Networked Attached Storage, a Wifi Router, and Ethernet Switch, and a VPN Server all rolled into one

I have a quad core arm router myself that handles wireguard and wifi, but the nas speeds are terrible
a Rasperry Pi 4B or Pi 5 is considered the equivalent to a Gaming Router
especially with the Overhauls that OpenWRT offers
ngl a pi 5 is defo faster than a gaming router
not to mention NAS Via PCIE 4X
These so called gaming routers cant even handle nas service at 1gbit

It's the protocol the Cemu emulator uses to receive inputs directly from controllers.
If toggled on, DSX will pass the physical inputs directly to it instead of processing them. Pali &/or Dante might need to chime in to give you more details about it if there are any to share (I'm not much of an emulator user so..
)
Considering you're OBSing (I'd assume, bottom line is using a capture soft on top of your game + DSX), I guess there might be some bottlenecking occurring but whether it's GPU, CPU, or both... no idea
i very much doubt it in my opinion the game and mod are both sending data to the device
you can see it especially with the led when i shot the cop
I guess you could try without OBS (or w/e you're using) to check, monitoring your performance with RTSS or SK for example, or using DSX's software renderer but that shouldn't affect this scenario I think.

Since you're using the mod, why not choose Xbox emulation so you get Rumble ? Maybe it performs better as an added benefit

Use CapFrameX and look at 1% lows, also use presentmon to see the data behind the rendering (so whether you got a cpu or gpu bottleneck).
Then basically record a session without DSX and one with DSX, then you'll have a proper comparison as well as a good timeline where exactly the stuttering is happening

Have you tried the auto option?
(that should let your operating system decide how the p and e cores are being utilized, might be useful if you're running apps on the side which might interfere with cyberpunk trying to use the p cores)

Yeah amd doesn't have 2 types of cores on their desktop cpus(as far as I know), they only have performance cores. (They do have cpus with two CCDs which has been troublesome for the 12 and 16 core cpus)

I had a look at the non-dsx video, at the moment the stutter starts, it seems the p-cores aren't loaded @crimson plaza and your gpu load also drops.

But how could uninstalling Enhanced Dualsense Support get rid of these stutters ? Especially if it's not even active ?
isn't EDS injecting into the game to get the data?
Part of it is loaded by Cyber Engine Tweaks, another by Redscript, but all its active code should be "dormant" if disabled
The rest is just .archive files for overriding assets such as the controller scheme and glyphs which as no impact whatsoever since it's just using the same assets as the Dualsense ones, only for when emulating an Xbox controller
hmm, maybe a thing to try, is to set the affinity to only the p-cores for cyberpunk (and then obviously disable the in-game optimization for p-cores)
Leaves only the input loader part (rebinding inputs) but that is not even about the buttons used in the vids

The mod supports two configuration options as of now via an INI file stored in the plugins directory named dualsense-mod.ini
A sample content of the file is the following (also found in the current repo at config/dualsense-mod.INI:

So, I decided to make a DualSense mod for Tomb Raider (2013/GOTY Edition), one of my favorite action-adventure games, and it greatly enhances the experience.

- For DSX, don't use other libs, just need UDP client
I'm yet to test but I doubt this will play well as is considering the potential of having it taking over the whole controller and not letting DSX do its thing (hopefully I worry for nothing but Pali should definitely have a look & guide you if I'm not)
Free version as a mod test base is really not recommended since mod system with UDP is in paid version only (and v1 is abandonware anyway)
It works with DSX. The dll files won't interfere.

That's what I'm seriously doubting, hence needing @floral bear to shime in and tell cause even if it can work, it might also not work as it should (the only "proper way" of doing DSX Mods being to use a UDP client) because of v1 using vigembus whereas DSX v3.1 (current latest) uses VirtualPad
No real idea about the actual technicals of it all but it's an "unorthodox" way of doing it from what I can grasp
I am using UDP client in my code, not vigembus. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the paid version of DSX to test it on but as far as I know, it works with the free version.
Only briefly tested (still too hot in my PC room tonight) with a New Game on the Steam version with DSX v3.1 and SpecialK as the asi loader (plugin load order = Early).
Mod loads but that's just about all it can do.
DSX doesn't receive anything through its UDP
LED is just what is set in profile instead of what I would assume is supposed to be "off" (rgb 0.0.0) when trying to get Lara free
I'm assuming it might be due to the libs used and/or not targeting DSX's UDP server
@floral bear , if you could have a look, it would help a lot to direct Extreme in the right direction for making the mod compatible
Could you try running the mod without special k? My mod doesn't need special k to work. All you have to do is copy the contents from the instructions.

No, SK is not used in my mod. Only in PS button prompts mod which wasn't made by me.

It's not about Special K anyway, I just make it use its asi loading feature which basically identical to the instructed dll
As I said, the mod loads just fine (DualSenseTR.log says it loaded successfully) but it's just not using DSX's mod system via UDP

Hi y'all! I just uploaded a new update for the mod (v1.2) on Nexus Mods. It fixes the previous connection issues and includes further improvements to the trigger resistance for better immersion. If you downloaded an older version, I highly recommend grabbing this one for the best experience.

Yes and I also improved how the R2 trigger feels when firing a gun. There's more of a gradual resistance feel to it instead of just a "GameCube" effect

It's called Diplomagic, it's an action adventure with a retro Playstation aesthetic. This is an example of a manual pump action shotgun mechanic I built, and along with a carefully tuned adaptive trigger preset, it feels super springy and reads the proper threshold for racking / activation

EDIT - Change "Controller Emulation" to "DualShock 4" in DualSenseX. Otherwise there will be an issue w/ the rumble.

He'll most likely tell you to follow install & setup instructions. If I were you I'd try to detail what you have done successfully or not and at what step you're stuck
This way he can help you should anything have not gone how it's expected to go
Only thing I could help you with should that step hasn't been done yet is making sure you've enabled DSX's Mod System properly :
- Settings tab > Networking section
- Fix Firewall (turning the Red Shield into a Green one)
- Enable incoming UDP
- Check port number - should be 6969, if it's not, set it to 6969
Other than this, I don't know anything about how RacingDSX works

Hello everyone. I apologize for any errors in the text, I am translating this through a neural network because I have some problems with English. Six months ago, I bought a Dualsence and naturally wanted to play Cyberpunk with it. The first problem I encountered was vibration (specifically, haptic feedback). As I understand it, it only works with a wired connection; with a wireless connection, only the triggers worked for me (but if you use Steam Input, the gamepad is recognized by the game as an Xbox controller and the normal vibration works fine). The wired connection doesn't bother me, but the sounds that accompany each vibration do)) The sounds are like a short 8-bit explosion. I changed the vibration strength, but this sound is present at all settings. If this is how it's supposed to be, then it's a strange decision by the developer. Spider-Man 2 also makes creepy sounds, but there you can turn it off, while in Cyberpunk you can't (turning off the controller sound didn't help either). I found out about a mod that extends dualsense support, which made me very happy. I thought it would help me and I would be able to play without strange sounds. I have experience installing mods for Cyberpunk, and I currently have about 70 mods installed. Installing the mod was not a problem, but I encountered an error. I scrolled through the comments on Nexus mods, the Cyberpunk modding community Discord channel, and this channel, but couldn't find a solution. I checked all the steps for installing the mod and what to do in DSX itself several times, but I couldn't find a solution. I would be very grateful if someone could help me solve this problem

I've never tried using gyro, race element only sends commands to DSX so you get adaptive triggers.
Gyro steering can be fun but with car racing games.. good luck getting a good feel of it, let alone mastering it
I can barely manage Gyro to both sticks in Redout2 
It works very well for LeMansUltimate and Iracing. I just heard JSM is better.
Oh it does work well but lacking a fixed position and force feedback just makes it impossible for me to get any connected feel to the controls

It depends on the game, some games provide brake pressure % which I can use, some games don't so at that moment I resort to wheel slip ratio if it can be calculated
but rumble is passthrough with DSX

I don't know if you already knew but i've reinstalled WRC Generation and i found that it already supports Dualsense natively (you have to disable steam input to merge the DS features). What it lacks is some form of vibration on triggers to reproduce the terrain asperities, for example. I hope this can be helpful!

I tried the Control Ultimate Edition mod and couldn't get it working ;-;
Don't use the latest version, it's a standalone and @glass valve didn't warn users properly on his mod page
Use the og 1.0 version which should be in old files
And should be labeled DSX compatible or at least mentioned to be the one working with it

Just to be clear, you can use the latest version which is a standalone, but it will most likely conflict with DSX for control over the Dualsense so you'd need to use it without DSX running.
I already told @floral bear we should have a clear mention in DSX Mod System's tab entry for this mod that users should download that old 1.0 version to use with DSX but that confusion is on both SkyExplosionist and us

Now I wanna use gyro aim but I don't know how to set up ratcheting or hold for gyro button in DSX
no idea what ratcheting is
but for Gyro on hold, select the button you want to trigger Gyro with, and map the relevant shortcut action to it
(eg. Click L2 - go into Shortcuts - Select Motion to modes - Click Hold in the first entry and select the Motion-to-mode - Click the "+" button to apply)
Now it'll be set, you just need to tweak that motion to x mode to your liking (Controller Mappings - Motion to x)
Ratcheting is just when you hold a button that kills the gyro input so you can reposition your controller
Useful for flick stick where you can't compensate with the stick

I'm using the latest beta version and it works really well (i tried with different games). You have to extract it on your donwloads folder, than you have to open DSX and activate the UDP option for the port 6969. Then you start race element and select the game you want on the bottom left corner, click on Pitwall section and double click on DSX. If you want to change some settings you have to deactivate it double clicking again on DSX, change the settings and then you double click again on DSX (it becomes green).
Is there any chance that the DSX mod system to be updated to support custom haptic feedback sounds? For example, currently triggers and LED effects can be sent to dsx but I would like it if I could also load an audio file for a sound effect that I want to be played when firing a weapon and make it play through DSX without DSX playing every sound coming from the game. Similar to how native DualSense supported games work. This would make mods better. Could this be possible with DSX in the future?
I'm all for it and have been pushing in that direction, some stuff needs to be solidly in place first though, namely vDS Audio and BT Audio so it can all be seamlessly integrated in the whole pipeline, not sure at which point of it though.
That's on @floral bear & @void linden to weigh on which way would be the best course of action to take regarding all this.

Hello. I'm trying the use Tomb Raider mod(https://www.nexusmods.com/tombraider2013/mods/125?tab=description) but it does not work with v3.1.4.
I cheacked the nexusmod page and someone who got the same issue reccomenned to use v3.1, v2 or dsy by the auther. I don't know how to turn bak to v3.1, v2.5.0 legacy does not lunch, and dsy works but I prefer to use dsx.

No, it's because the Touchpad isn't mapped to any Xbox button by default
So you need to use DSX to map it to Create

Hi, I would like to make my profiles configurations into a mod for RE4 so I don't have to manually set the adaptive trigger configuration depending on the specific weapon I'm using. Right now, I have five profiles for each kind of weapon (Pistol, Automatics, Rifles, Shotguns and Revolvers) but every time I want to swap between one pistol to another, I have to set the adaptative trigger configuration for that weapon on DSX. Also, to swap between profiles I have to manually set the button on each profile according to the button I assigned the weapon in the game. For example, here I have the shutgun on the right cross, but if I wanted to set it to the down cross, I'd have to change all my profiles on DSX so when I press the down cross, it swaps to the shotgun profile

Does the game support keyboard buttons while using controller? If so, assuming the game doesnt use touchpad, you can try assigning the keyboard weapon hotkeys on swipe up, down, left, right, and double tap. Then you won't have to press two buttons to get your items.
Or if the game uses rumble, you can try using rumble-to-triggers and see how that goes

Oh, yeah I tried to use it, but it's not the same... Besides, I made a different L2 ressistance preset for each weapon. Which means that every profile has to recognize when I'm not pressing L2, so when you press R2 alone, you use the knife without any ressistance on the R2 trigger. But when you hold L2 to aim with your weapon, it changes to another preset that sets resistance for the R2 button, but the preset that's set to be swapped needs to be set with the same L2 ressistance preset (Sorry for the Spanish in the capture, I hope I made it clear)
There are two presets for each weapon, one to not have any resistance on R2 when you're not aiming, and the other to set ressitance on R2 when you're aiming. Similar to what you see on TLOU
And yes, the game supports keyboard buttons when using controller
