the MASP functionality is not supported for nano s I know this, but staking, governance and all should be working

plenty of users have NAM on ledger nano s, obviously we can't make their NAM stuck, that's very different from not being able to use the MASP functionalities @clear field @wraith violet

Ok, I will take a look to see why this is breaking for Nano S. We will probably need to patch it so that the MASP step doesn't get hung up here for Nano S. Without a Nano S it might be hard to confirm, but I'll look into it and see what we can do

I thought the newer versions of the ledger software couldn't fit on the original nano s due to memory issues? funds are never stuck on a ledger, you can always reimport it to a newer ledger device.

I discussed this with brent, latest namada apps can be installed on ledger nano s, just the masp functionality wouldt work

Yeah I mean plenty of users still have ledger nano s, we should check all these bugs because imagine if phase 5 arrives and many users can't even connect to the namada keychain and have their NAM stuck until they can connect

it's going to be fixed well before phase 5 - we already have a reviewed fix which will be in an upcoming release

Sure just a comment, I found that bug by chance, what if I didnt report this bug would it have remained until phase 5? I think for each release you or zondax have to test all ledger devices and identify bugs, just some feedback
