3 of my 5 Relayer submissions, which were working when they were made, have become inactive over time. In fact, the Stargaze relayer sent in February was previously accepted, now I see its status as "No".

I want to make them again and send them, but I don't know how to prevent them from becoming inactive. Therefore, they may become inactive again until they are checked again. In short, what should I do?

I'm starting to think that rechecking so strictly whether infra is up and running at any given time is a bad idea. there can be small outages, for instance there's a bug in indexer that makes is sometimes halt. lots of reasons.. relayers that can't be kept up due to cost etc. @lament isle for your consideration

It's a combi of reasons why it's marked as spam. It's not only about the ip format. It's about the submissions being identical word for word (title, description + ip format)

It might be unjustly, but it has sybil vibes to it if it's so similar without (back then) having a standard to go with.

Then what for I was participating if you consider people as SPAM, who wanted to contribute. I dont understand such attitude. It also can be a coincidence that I filled the same way form, as many people do, it doesnt relate me to them who has many accounts.

I fully agree to that point, cause in that bunch of spam there might be honest people who just applied their submission, and they will be disqualified or banned for nothing, it's just not fair, that you consider a lot of people as spam. I think you should reconsider such decision and find the other way to find sybil. I also in a that spam bunch for no reason, and there is nothing to do about it, as I spent my money to rent that server and hold it for so many days until NAMADA stands back, and finally I will be kicked out...

As it's super unfair that people who did everything according to documentation being considered as spam. Maybe adding some screenshots as a verification with a paper and some code on it.

There was no requirement on changing wording from documentation, and I think most people did like it was written and it makes no sense at all, that you take a lot of people as spam. As well as me, I did everything according to documentaion and to make it work properly and didnt want any problems to appear during submitting the mission, as network was already in a lot of fails and had so many issues. If you put all people together because of their port, maybe you should put it to requirements to change port? And you should re-read your requirements as there is nothing like this on it, and I did it as it was writtent. So please take me out of that spam. I can attach any proves if it's needed. If you have participated in the testnet, you would know. Namada is a brand new architecture, and of course, there will be many issues. Although I disagree with some of the team's practices, I think it's normal for the testnet to have problems, and renting a VPS to participate in the testnet is your own decision.

IP+Port is not enough for "providing service". If you have some basic network knowledge, you would know that even https without firewall and other strategies is not enough. Domain name and reverse proxy is just the basic requirement.

I'd like to correct that. My mistake is that I was using a publicly available guide where the default port was 26657. Also I was looking for the best way to write the text of the assignment, but since I couldn't find any requirements for this I specified exactly as it was in the task list. I can't say about other participants, but maybe that was the reason why the forms are the same. I suggest in the future just to specify if there are any requirements or if the form can be filled in free form. This is not the last time I am going to submit a form for S class assignment. I hope I won't be disqualified because of this oversight.
Anyway, I will continue to support Namada ❤️

my personal opinion is all those submissions should be marked as spam and serious consideration should be given to whether that's disqualifying for the expedition as a whole.

in any case I think it's self-evident that the task classes that have to do with developing stuff can't be simply putting up a copy of an explorer someone else made (maybe change a few colors) and submit as own work.

Yeah it's a difficult matter this. Especially since it's open-source. Also if we look at the part about 'quality' in the FAQ.

Though when does it become copy-paste and when is it actually forked and changed around. Because I do know this repo wasn't working from the get-go. Stuff had to be done in order for it to work. the discussion here of course is whether copies are being passed off as original work. if you built your explorer from scratch or significantly independently put together code from different source in an original format, then yes, having it on the list is a mistake

The task sounds like “find a bug”, I found a bug, the team confirmed and fixed it (there is an issue on GitHub), but in checking a task, refusal for a reason is not very useful. Seriously? You confirm much weaker bugs, but you refused this.

@lament isle this is kinda a continuation of #1222959128629215262 (starting at: #1222959128629215262 message), but if you test the edge case for clients freezing, can you also check whether the shielded transfers from osmo => nam or theta => nam is working? (for my submission 1448).
Make sure to send it to an address you are sure of to be fully shielded-synced. To see if it actually got to the other side, you'll have to shielded-sync afterwards in a CLI and then check the balance using the viewing-key. I recommend using a manual address for the receiving side btw, since the viewing-key for an extension address seems to be different than when you import it in the CLI.

I'll try to see if I can make it possible to also show all balances from namada side shielded/unshielded and ofc try solving namada shielded to other chains. So just tell me if this doesn't suffice for the IBC shielded application category. I'll continue working on it either way :)!
