#s-class

mann you guys are tough on the spam-category ๐
can I ask if there is any pathway to submit updates to an already sent submission (with more documentation etc)
Still unclear to me how to submit multiple tasks for the same category and if it matters...
We submitted 3 endpoints for the same category at the same time, would it be better to break it in 3?
Same question here ๐ค
Coz indeed there are multiple adresses that have submitted several things in the same subclass, so are they registered twice/thrice in the points pool ?
(They FAQ says they dont)
it was said that quality projects will earn higher roids, will there be a column for this?
I see 101 and 104 the same address and the same class. I think this way to get score at the same class @halcyon ridge
Should no extra point for Relayer ? #53 + # 60 is duplicated ?
#4 and #72 same for relayer
you can comment on it bro
yes, which submission?
Hello another question.. for rejected submission should i add comment or resubmit again via portal ?
don't submit multiple tasks for same category
for example, relaying more than IBC channel doesn't get you anything more than just relaying one IBC channel
only one per category
was that in response to my comment on spam or my question on submitting extra info?
Hey Gavin! Will the ROIDS be split equally for each task even if quality differs? I am asking about "Building Namada ecosystem integrations and tooling" subclass specifically.
resubmit, maybe add a comment that it was previously rejected
Thank.. but need to wait for chain fixed to able to done that task ๐
oops! that was for path to resubmission
@short sandal wdym tough on spam? we've taken over evaluations, and we'll be reasonable
it's about submissions that aren't in the spreadsheet yet (better to wait until they show up?)
I would feel super bad if I had submitted one or two of the spam-marked in good faith and be rip'ed from the expedition. I can see it's a judgment call though
yeah the points are a pool for each task, and then as more submissions are made, the claims on the points pool increase. this will dilute points earned
idk what to think about this part of the game, haha
I think you might want to re-evaluate submission #74
it's just a copy of bot from cosmos-sdk chains that uses cosmos-sdk REST API, it won't work for namada
i.e. thats proposal query from the said repo:
https://github.com/Zenon-provalidator/namada_proposal_bot/blob/main/modules/proposals.go#L65
yeahh if anyone gets ๐ from spam pls let us know
like i figure someone has to be a real jerk before getting banned
like botting us or something
alright, just assumed it was an automatic ban as per introduction to SE article
thanks to those who pointed out that there were duplicates!! by commenting in the spreadsheet
okay spread the word: don't do more than one task in each subclass because you won't earn more points
I see a reason for it (almost no human factor included in ROIDS distribution), but it is a bit sad, as it means quantity over quality. Just wanted to highlight it, I understand the decision all good
Hey, I sent an request but I'm not in the table, do I need to wait or send another one?
It is up to Feb 10, so wait
it seems to me that (unfort) there doesn't seem to be a distinction for quality
thank youuu!!
I can predict you will just pick up some cool ideas and fund them from a different pool, that would be nice. Because I see some cool staff guys are doing!
spread the word: don't do more than one task in each subclass because you won't earn more points
idk how ultimately scoring will go down, but personally we (Luminara) will be looking for high quality stuff ๐
so all block explorers will get the same roids no matter what?
:/
for those competing in both crew and pilot, I assume submissions are distinct so one can submit crew s-class and pilot s-class?
i think so ๐ซค
will confirm
For final understanding:
The tasks "Providing Public RPC Endpoints as a service" and "Operate a Namada indexer as a service" are one subclass of "Oparating Namada infrastructure as a service" will be awarded points as one task.
Also "Operate a Shielded Expedition-compatible Cosmos testnet relayer" and "Operate a Shielded Expedition-compatible Osmosis testnet relayer" are also one subclass of "Operating IBC/Interoperability infrastructure" will be awarded points as one task.
Am I getting this right? ๐ค
Yes, you have it correct
The sheet itself is confusing on this because it makes it look like indexer and rpc are being scored separately; we'll fix this going forward. Sorry for any confusion!
Prior to points actually being assigned in the nebb, the results will be parsed by script to make sure each entrant is correctly receiving points once and only once for each subclass, whether they made one submission, multiple submissions, duplicate submissions etc
also: thanks to those leaving feedback about duplicate submissions etc in the comments
feedback so far has been helpful and much appreciated! if you notice any discrepancies or have questions about submissions, feel free to ask, there will be time to take a second look before the end of s-e
@low walrus @sturdy egret
Can someone double check the 56th number on the spreadsheet? My submission was assigned to the wrong category, integrating Namada into a block explorer should belong to the category "Building Namada ecosystem integrations and tooling" and not "Operating Namada infrastructure as a service"๐ฌ

thanks, fixed!
change should be reflected next time the db is refreshed
fair enough, once the chain gets moving again (hopefully today) and your indexer is synced again, could you ping me and we'll take another look
Is there any news about this?
yes, for the purposes of the nebb it's simply a pass/fail; all explorers meeting a minimum threshold get the same points
however we are also tracking submissions that go the extra mile for extra recognition
send the URL to access the website enough for evidence? How about if someone has my website and uses it to submit?
``2. S Class tasks: Does quality lead to different ROID points?
S Class tasks are manually checked (by a human). Quality matters in the sense that the human has to be convinced by the evidence that the task has been completed, leading to winning points.

trusting the information in the FAQ, I started coding shielded expedition's best block explorer, it's not fair if all explorers get the same score :/
@low walrus
Please do not only focus on the block explorer in the SE. I think we need to go through all of classes here. The purpose of SE is to test and find a bug. You can improve your blockchain explorer later to use it in the future ( main net maybe)
no problem, I also reported a security vulnerability where I was able to break validators and rpc's
but there is not even 1 block explorer which you can see the transaction status and details on the SE ๐
yes, love it. Let's find more to get the chain stable in the SE ASAP
i think @low walrus has an explorer coming..
can we see yours?
I'll deploy it soon
has team responded to this yet?
to be fair, it doesn't say better will get more points
on a close reading
not that I think you shouldn't have them
nope
that's not great if you can indeed do what you say. (which I have no doubt).
we're looking for outstanding submissions to promote (and if we have to, we'll reward outside of the competition ourselves)
no doubt hkey's explorer will be outstanding
can not wait the outstanding submissions ๐ซถ
I can disclose already that mine will most likely not be outstanding ๐
hopefully sufficient though
Are the s class tasks points up to 10th already added to Nebb points?
When do you plan to add tasks submitted later than 10th Feb ?
@sturdy egret
Seems so. Did you see the jump in points of some people ?
I think yes
i didn't get notified yet, but maybe devs forgot to tell me
I think the Nebb scoring has been updated. I think I got ROIDS for the wrong category, I got too few ROIDS for a task that 7 people have done so far. Please help me solve this problem
@sturdy egret
Any ideas, guys? @sturdy egret @low walrus (sorry for pings btw)
follow
np, this is one we fixed on the sheet yesterday, correct?
if so, it's likely still showing the old data on the nebb but when the nebb db is refreshed with the next batch of s-class it will show the corrected data
same goes for any other submissions that were corrected yesterday (there were a couple others that were in the wrong category or incorrectly marked as spam)
@sturdy egret question, I sent a job with an indexer to be checked before the job that I have checked already in the table, why can this be so?
Is it lost somewhere?
thanks for clarifying
pls tag @low walrus for S Class in future
ok, sorry
