I'm looking to start Iron Warriors with 2.0, looking at Hammer of Olympia; this is what I'm looking at from the box:

Tempted to add some kind of veterans in mk3 since I have a box of those lying around, would appreciate advice on tweaking and changing, especially with HQ's, think that some kind of Cataphractii Praetor would suit Iron Warriors better...

EDITED: tweaked list to add shrapnel bolters to marines, knocked 5 off dominators and added tyrant siege terminators

I’d say change out the Dominators for Siege Tyrants if you can get some cyclone missile launchers printed

Dominators/Tyranthikos are a big unknown because we haven't seen their 2.0 sheet yet; they are expensive and their special rule doesn't offer much

Might be worth going for 5 siege tyrants and 5 legion termies

I'm assuming the Praetor's the sword guy from the box (but with conversions)? If he's sticking with the Dominators in the Spartan, think that hurts them benefiting from Heavy when they're out of the Spartan (though I guess you'd not want them free of combat as much as possible). Might be best to replace him with a Cata Praetor when you can, though obviously it's mainly a "units in box" list for now
Tacticals should probably get themselves their shrapnel bolters since Hammer of the Olympia takes away Fury of the Legion (replaces it with Fury of Olympia, which only works with Shrapnel Bolters) and you get re-rolls to hit with them if you roll a 1. Does add another 20 points per unit though, but if you're working up to 2k points you've got points to spare atm

Shrapnel bolters aren’t worth paying pts for unless you’re playing hammer of Olympia imo. That range reduction is simply too much

And even on a basic ld 8 unit it’s a 10/36 chance of pinning them even if you discount the actual chance to inflict a wound with it

I'm not overly happy with the HQ's, they need some tweaking/converting/replacing, but I can't play Iron Warriors without a siege breaker; that's plain wrong

i dont think 1 HP, 2 lascannons and a flare shield is worth the 175 more points you are paying

I admit, I think I'd prefer a kratos; its cheaper, and has more firepower, but its hard to argue with the lascannons, delivery effectiveness of the spartan

if you swapd out the spartan for a land raider and got rid of the shrapnel bolts, you could buy a Sicaran arcus with trimmings

For HSS, I would go autocannons. Then you have more big shooting against opponent tanks, dreads etc.
