The original name of this warrior is unknown.
All that is known is that they gained prominence in the legion during the Thramas Crusade and more so after the splitting of the legion. They had cast off their old name after the split and started to go by as the Noctis Nosferrus, or as most called him “The Nightmare”. It’s said that this night lord had found a sword of terrible strength but at the cost of the warriors sanity. Like a parasite it slowly changed his appearance and mind until he was unrecognizable, consuming both the user and those it cut down. In an assault by a Dark Angels ship “the Oathed Dagger” a DA Chaplain cut its arm clean off, But the sword cared little and shortly after grew a huge arm with enormous talons. The corruption was plain to see and his fellow brothers both hated and feared him. In the later days of the siege of terra the Nightmare stalked the palace looking for the famed warrior with the black blade, and finally got his wish when he was righteously cut down by the emperor’s champion’s superior skill and divine strength. Thus ended his Tenebruous path.
