World Eaters - 3k - First list

Picked up the AoD box years ago but never commited to making an army because of list building. I think this list is fairly well rounded, but honestly I have no clue.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Need power weapons on the Vet Assault Squad at the very least

If not TLC or Fists/Hammers

What's going in the Spartan? If it's the Butchers then it should just be a LR. If it's not then the Butchers are too slow foot slogging it

Only 3 Line Units? I haven't decided yet if I just like to go heavy Line but 3 feels too few

@dusk crane Hope you don't mind me asking for a lot of ELI5 on that.

Spartan will have the Butchers and the Praetorian squad with Kharn down the middle of the board.

Why power weapons on the vets?

And idk what the right "balance" for Line is yet. I'm taking Tacs for the closer to home objectives and the despoiler for the middle. I want it to be a sort of pressure build

All the additional AP 5 wounds aren't going to matter into a 3+ save.

WS 5 units should be a Hammer, otherwise just save points on an Assault Squad. In fact, to turn your question around, why a WS 5 Vet Assault squad instead of a WS 4 Assault Squad?

You can only ever have one unit in a transport. So either Khârn and the gang or the Butchers

That's a good question. I figured WS5 would be better into WS4.

But I suppsoe I could make it a regular Assault squad with a few power weapons sprinkled in between

I look at WS 5 as more of a debuff. The output will come from the power weapons.

Run some Mathhammer and you'll see
