Hello all! New to 30k and I am not sure how I should go about taking this list up to 3000? I’m totally new so any insights or suggestions are helpful! This is what I already have:

Tbh unless you are going all out on Gal Vorbak and droppods then The Dark Brethren ROW is just infinitely better

#

But I’d say to continue expanding on this ROW would be 1 more 10x GV sqaud and both in a Droppod

#

Turn the praetor into a Centurion Chaplin to go with the second GV sqaud

#

And maybe swap the other contemptor for a 2nd Mhara Gal?

#

That’s more of a personal choice for me though

#

I just worry about your ability to hold objectives and deal with any threat greater than a Terminator

I really want to make this RoW work as I love Argel Tals model, how do I make the Drop Pods work though with the Bulky?

Dreadclaw droppods

The main issue is that Dreadclaws don’t have assault ramp, so your guys get out and have to sit there for a turn

#

I also love Argel Tal and his model, it’s just really hard to use LoTSS because Dark Brethren is almost practically our legion trait

As a new player do you think I’m better off doing Dark Brethren? I’d be bummed but I haven’t invested in Drop Pods yet so it wouldn’t be too much to get torn up over

Also can a Dreadclaw carry 10 Gal Vorbak? Doesn’t it have a capacity of 12 and aren’t Gal Vorbak bulky 2?

Unfortunately yes, The Dark Brethren is just so strong and you can still run GV in droppods, they are so expensive you won’t really be able to run anything else anyways

Honestly your list as is fine for DB, I’d say some anti-tank would go great, a 5 man sqaud of Lascannons and/or a Lascannon contemptor

Lorgar is a fun addition but he is a buffing guy rather than a raw melee monster like other Primarchs, Lorgar with a 5 man Thunder hammer sqaud is great

#

Though they probably need a party bus to achieve something

Lorgar’s Retunue gets a 4+ Feel No Pain and Fearless

Either a Sparatan (which is what i use) or a Land Raider Proteus

Land Raider Sparatan could put out some hurt and also it’s all I have so that’s why i run it

It’s looks great, you might have trouble with objectives, maybe drop the TS Melta Squad to pad out the Tac sqaud?

Everyhting doesn’t have to be optimal though, I think it’s a fun and fluffy list
