That is... A lot of dreadnoughts
So, you seem to have some minimum sized units which don't really work the best with our trait. We get bonuses when we outnumber the enemy unit
Raptors
Honestly I've had better success with them in groups of 5. Their jetpacks make them count as 2 for the purposes of out numbering, plus you can use them to harass multiple targets
Dual lightning claws are ace on them
They are retinue to Curze
The plan is to shoot alot in night
Curze gives dreadnoughts night vision
Right, dreadnoughts are considered a bit broken in 2.0, so people tend to use 1 dread per 1k. Las Cannon HSS are also pretty busted, so running both you might get some upset opponents.
As for the raptors... Curze is unique in that he doesnt really need a retinue, I believe he would actually be slowed down by the raptors which is amusing in itself. Curze strength is hit and run
Nobody brings more than 3 Dreadnoughts, community-wide gentleman's agreement.
Also Primarchs at 3000 points aren't common either. They are better suited to larger game sizes, 3500 maybe, but more likely 4000 points unless both sides agree. Either way you don't want to include a Primarch in your core army build
Really? Ive seen Primarch commonly at 3k in my area.
That's not common at all. Primarchs dominate the board at lower point totals but if everyone is running around with them then I guess its fine.
Are they also playing with a bunch of Dreads? If so, your area sounds awful for games haha
I usually do primarchs at 3k but only if everyone else is using
Didn't knew about it
But I dont know much shooty units that I can use
I cant take many heavy support
only 1
and curze lets me spend far less money on night vision
Can then anyone tell me how Night Lordds are usually played?
Aside from Sevatar+termo
That'd be Terror Assault then:
Every list is different but I'll tell you some common themes I've noticed:
Essentially utilizing Night Fighting, taking advantage of the enemies limited vision, using recons to pop any augury scanners.
Taking advantage of 'A Talent For Murder', I.E. focus on Outnumbering and forcing pinning.
Recon squads to pop sergeants and augs
Terror squads to force pinning, usually in groups of 10 with a mix of volkite and rotors
Librarians are used to shutdown enemy reactions
Rapiers, surprisingly decent. A single rapier as 6 guys (two handlers and the gun is bulky 4) so a single pack of two already outnumber vehicles.
Raptors with dual lightning claws are a god send, do recommend.
Here's a big one: Apothecaries.
A great source to push Outnumbering, alongside adding survivability to your units.
If you aren't running Curze and need to save on points, give an Apothecary unit Preysight. Whatever unit the models join also gain Preysight as long as the apothecary is alive.
There's a few others but I just woke up and I'm sure other NL will pick up where I left off
Oh, also since Terror Assault limits our heavy support selection, sabres are some pretty good vehicles
No to the dreads lol, we just don't seem to have an issue with primarchs, we usually bring two lists, one with and one without in case the opponent doesn't want to fight a primarch.
It just ends up that most ppl here want to see the demigods slap each other on the board lol
What kind of missions are u doing
If black book u have enough line but if ur doing cathonia or any mission packs with a higher need for turn by turn scoring consider taking more line
Also if u don’t like the Sabre or want plastic thiers jet bikes with volkite or multi meltas
And follow the rule of one dread pre 1000 also don’t forget presight is a very handy upgrade
