Honestly, I just wanted to run one because they're cool models. This list started out as the AoD box + some goodies and then I got wondering if knights were any good as lords of war. Realistically I should put together a 2k list I like first.

Appreciate the comments. Heresy been on the backlog for a while and now that I'm finally finishing the box Ive been noodling with lists and not much to go on. The local scene leans a little more casual than comp and theres no IH players in our little group of 20-25 people

That's my 2k list but without a kratos I'd take rhinos and preadtors

This is a fine list, perfect for out of the AoD box.

Volkite culverin hss is a strong choice but you want to max those numbers up. To do this, at 2k consider running a land raider instead of a spartan for your cataphractii. That saves you about 200 points to bulk out the culverins and other toys. It's a financial investment but land raiders are a lot more useful than spartans. I use a LR most games whereas my spartan only gets to come out and play at 3k and only sometimes

Also consider turning your cataphractii into morlocks. They are hard as nails, do the same job and can take a banner to be scoring. They can't take hammers so you'd want to model them differently. Fortunately AoD gives you 10 cataphractii so you can have 5 with hammers and the next 5 as morlocks
