help me justify getting a Kratos

So like the name suggests, i am trying to justify the purchase of a kratos lol
Here was my idea:

This list is a lot of infantry for holding or contesting objectives incase i get the one mission that cares about objectives. While the Kratos itself is kites to both threaten infantry & armor. As well as make people think twice about shootong it thanks to all the volkite. Thoughts?

Looks,solid. A few questions. Why 18x Tacticals. You're in POTL. Two scoring veterans or terminators + 1 10 man squad should be good enough. I think 80 points of upgrades could increase the deadly force for terminators.

The goon squad is there for the vox to help gide the drop pod vets

my hot take is to buy two kratos to force your opponent to have much more antitank saturation to deal with em

Ahhh; either way. 100 points is nicer. So for the vet squads. Give one 2x Melta Gun, one 2x Missile Launcher

But getting shot at or charged as a squadron is really rough

I would nees to find room for a second

& want to build & paint 2 kratos

kratos's don't really need to outnumber, their weapons already wound infantry pretty well

you can just use up another HS slot tho

They only thing I can think you might have problems with is WS 5 elite infantry

You've got 1 Melta Gun and 1 ML in each squad. Only 2 heavy weapons or special weapons per squad. Splitting ranges and ideal targets in squads is a bad idea, no spitfire.

But buy a Kratos for rule of cool

Well they're not that great and a heavy support slot; especially when limited to 1 is way too valuable to waste on a Kratos.

I think it's a bit expensive on table. You can get something that does the same job but also is cheaper

like what do you want it to do on the battlefield? Shoot infantry, tanks?

My WLT does give me 2 shooting reactions

So someone trying to pop it will have to really think about what they shoot at it

tanks might get exploded semi regularly, just run enough tanks that they can never all get exploded

They were all dead by turn 3

But my group seems to be in the minority on this option for tanks

This list looks interesting, but I have to ask why you went for both a Warmonger and a Transport for your Command Squad? Maybe I am missing something, but the reason you take a Warmonger is to Deepstrike that Command Squad right?

Overall tho the list looks durable, the only couple of things I can think off that would give you problems is that the Kratos is kinda your only long range firepower.

So I am thinking that someone bringing a Lascannon HSS or two is gonna be pretty rough as an opponent

Massed WS5 units on the other side could also be a bit of a problem

That is true, the problem isn't your quality of shots, it's the amount. (Especially return fire gonna be a bit of a pickle).
At least that is how I look at it (I run a PotL list myself, but in my White Scars).

Especially WS5 Terminators like Justaerin, Deliverers and the like kinda slap your spaghetti 🤔

Also, with the amount of Thunder Hammers in your list, Emperor's Children might be a problem
