#Death Guard 1500pts List Challenge

It's challenge time!

Hey you lot. I need to paint my army and have no idea on what to start - it's simply too big! Therefore, in order to get help deciding, I challenge any and everyone who reads this to make a 1500 points list using the miniatures listed below and post that list in the comments of this thread. Everyone can then vote on the various lists with a 👍.

The 2 lists with the most votes by the end of this week (so Sunday 15th of January at 23:59 CET) will be painted up within 10 weeks after which I'll make a detailed battle report (with pictures) that will be posted in #battle-pict-captures. That means you get to see the list you made in action and how it performs! You're also welcome to leave notes regarding thoughts on the game plan and overall idea behind the list.

The available units:
HQ:
Typhon
Siege Breaker (magnetised)
Praetor in Tartaros armour with combi-flamer & thunder hammer
Praetor in Artificer armour (magnetised)
Praetor in Cataphractii armour with Scythe (any ranged)

I feel like you should at least pit some AA on your tactical sgts... they are really gonna struggle to stay on objectives and they are your only line units

It’s a fun list there’s some spicy units and yeh 2 line units is a bit meh. Should be well equipped to take out dreads/vehicles and it shouldn’t have a problem with other line units as everything in the list will eat them.

It does look like it can pack a punch. Only problem would be the Cataphractii Siege Breaker as I do not own one.

Would just have to be a Scythe instead of a Sword

Yeh you could use anything you like for the seige breaker he’s probably gonna be chilling with the autocannons

I do have a magnetised boarding shield for him if you want to change it a bit. I'm guessing the use for Cataphractii was so he wouldn't ruin their Heavy trait

My take, not super hard, not super soft, something in the middle and (for my liking) a good painting variation so it won't get to boring to paint them all 🙂

Ooo I like this one. Would it be possible to find 16 points in it for Volkites on the Breachers? Looks fun to play!

A Tac and 2 Chainfists it is. Don't have any Chainfists modelled on them currently. Maybe in the next batch of Wardens...

Doesn't look like there'll be coming more to this one but that might be because the second list is simply good enough so people voted for it. Thanks for participating at least, @lyric gust & @weary thistle, I appreciate the effort. I'll be focusing on @lyric gust's list first as it has the most votes and am already well underway with the Proteus and Grave Wardens finished 🙂
