Looks pretty good so far. Probably wouldn’t bother with the Sword of Perdition on the second Assault Sgt unless you want it for flavour purposes, I’d just go another spear. One thing to consider is that your Sgts may well wind up in challenges vs Artificer Armoured opposing characters, so some people like to take axes for this purpose. Another thing I would consider is sticking a second specialist weapon on your Praetor. 15 points for a Lightning Claw will get him an extra attack but not add a lot of value, or a Thunder Hammer will cost you 30 but give you the extra attack and some versatility going into vehicles/Dreads. Another option is to forgo the extra attack and take an inferno pistol. Re: the Libby, I don’t really like swords this edition so I’d consider a staff or axe again.
As for what to add, a Chaplain could be nice to flap around with your Dawnbreakers. Something to note is that at this point in your list the only thing starting on the board is your Deredeo, so if that dies T1 before you can get your DS off you will automatically lose, so you might want to consider adding something else without Deepstrike (which is a shame, as Deepstriking Crimson Paladins are pretty fun)
Related to the above about not getting shot off the board T1. A Callidus assassin would basically make it impossible for that to happen as she can't be targeted unless you shoot with her 😅 And for a 125pt investment that's not too bad.
I'd love an assassin, but I'd have to get a whole other book
Yeah I'm a bit stuck on the ground team, I'm thinking I need a mix of armour and infantry. Stuff like Sabres, Sicarans and Seekers come to mind
Just get her and hide her in a corner!
My only observation about the above is the lack of anything that could absorb a reaction (other than a dread). Speeders, bikes or even a minimum nothing assault/Tac squad could do the trick. Assassins too I suppose.
Well the speeders will be locked into deep strike
I do have 2 melta graviton speeders
I’ve been using speeders and absolutely love them. Cheap and fast. I only ever need it to do 1 thing, which is tag that unit before my beat stick does.
Haha as soon as I saw her rules I realised it’s potential for BA. But I think I would only play this when I know my opponent is coming in all guns blazing with their list.
Fair
Apparently, I've got a game tomorrow and me models are all over the place lol. This'll have to do. Hopefully, this list pulls through until I can buy a nicer ground team and more Dawnbreakers
Your Kratos is missing its Flare Shield 🙂
Vs Iron Warriors I guess it's needed lol
Ah, I've got Perturabo inbound now. Sanguinius may be necessary
Ugh! @2500? Boo!
We've both had models in different locations atm so it's alright, casual match anyhow idm
Right on. You've got a heads up which is great. So either bench the Praetor or give him a really good pep talk.
One of the Assault Squad sergeants (Perdition Spear man) has faced Pert in a fight in 1st ed and lived. We don't fear the bitter giant here
Lol
Vet Sgt to Praetor: “He’s not so big up close. Look, I survived and I didn’t even have that fancy Iron Halo thing. Just don’t let him hit you.”
I've had a real stupid idea, but I'm gonna do it
The Blood Angels become the allies. Corax leads the force
You're dead to me 🥲
My game today got cancelled anyway so I can go back to making my hypotheical list
Sorry to hear. That's always a bummer.

Got my list up if you want to theory hammer
Back to the drawing board, got this in mind with 585 points remaining. I think the drop force should be adequate at this stage, with 80 wounds of infantry and a flying dreadnought. The Deredeo is the start of ground team, but I'm debating how to divide the remaining points.
I could take a recon squad to try and snipe some augury scanners, some Sabres for fast anti-tank, some Assault Cannons in rhinos. I definitely like what I have so far, but the remaining points definitely feel limited
Heads up that you should probably ask your opponent before bringing 20 Dawnbreakers at their original cost to a 2500pt game
Yeah I would add some units to make your units more balanced
maybe rather then 20 dawnbreakers, maybe 10 or two squads of 5, and rather taking some shooting.
cann still be good units, lay a terminator squad, crimson paladins maybe? and they can drop in
Paladins are good tarpits but they aren’t particularly good Termie hunters IMHO
I still love them though
On the other hand, you could go with no shooting at all....
World Eater mentality is a tempting one
I've decided to add a Recon squad and Scorpius though to up the pinning and shooting turn 1
Over-rated! 🙂
Jokes aside, that's solid. Scouts have come up once or twice in the WE channel. Cheap, can infiltrate and then charge to absorb a reaction. Might also have DoR applications.
What about drop pod veterans?
Or perhaps some Indomitus dudes in a heavy tank rolling up the table
Meh. I mean, I'm all in on Pods but I think it's sort of all or nothing.
I mean it would drop with Revelation wouldn't it?
Umm...
Yes. So if you can combine the Pod w DoR and not keep it separate then it goes way way up.
Def an option. They wouldn't have Line but you could def do the combi-melta trick. That's some AT for sure.
I don't like cutting a assault squad for it though.
But consider the source.
Local Discord dude told me if I didn't fill up all the Elite slots then I was doing it wrong
I've been liking a Levi in a DP. Mega-melta + snippy claw
Plus the banner makes them line! Now if only I can figure out some cool freehand
I have a company symbol with custom transfers
Hopefully I can fit that on a banner somewhere
I like the Command Squad for narrative especially
One point over oof
Just drop am upgrade somewhere
I think I've reached a list I'm happy with. The Champion can always be swapped out for other units as I buy them, like a second Scorpius, Rapiers, Xiphon, etc, but for now this seems good
Good enough for me lol
Nice list, the only thing I’d say is you feel a little light on anti-armour. Maybe swap the Champion for a moritat with two inferno pistols. You’d need to find a few points extra, but you could squeak it out the assault squads easy enough maybe. A moritat could also hurt a Dreadnought pretty decently too.
He'd have to go it solo, but I do have a dual inferno Moritat model with jump pack
Yeah he’d def be a suicide unit. Just food for thought. Maybe stick with your list but if you know your going up against someone who runs tank squadrons, you could swap him in then!
