When people say they love COD Zombies, I feel bad they didn't play Counter Strike: Source zombie mod.
20-30+ people, playing on user made maps with towers and buildings with rooms. Movable props like tables, chairs, sofas, vending machines etc that you'd have to shoot or nade into position.
And then when the setup timer ends.. uh-oh! Someone becomes zombified and has to attack someone to turn them into a zombie too, and the zombies win if everyone gets turned into one.
On one map, best game I ever played, there was a shipping container loaded with vending machines. I naded them apart so I could step over them, then managed to nade the front of them and make them look almost like they were default. Last guy standing, they couldnt find me. Zombies arent that good at moving props. they can pull and puss but cant shoot or nade.
But its hard to play it any more, part of the times I guess. Kills cod zombies mode any day I think, especially with player controlled zombies.

It may sound weird, but I really only enjoyed building things in survival mode. I often found the sheer amount of blocks available in creative to be a bit overwhelming. I also rather enjoyed looking for certain trees and other resources like plants for dyes and whatnot.
While I am a bit creative, I'm not very creative. I usually used it for experimenting with potions, traps, and redstone.

I miss the early days of Mechwarrior Online. Enemy team would be standing around in a confused clump, I would take the light scout mech and blitz through them at ankle height at warp speed. They blink a few times, then the entire team turns as one and runs off chasing me. Most die horribly. Rinse and repeat.It doesn't work anymore but it was beautiful then.

Primal hits really different, especially if you turn off the UI elements. It feels more like Skyrim or something, but with way more randomized content.
I think the Pandora game works for the same reason, though knowning Ubisoft I'm not as keen to find out anymore.
Primal's sound design is also magnificent. The forests are dense and tall.

I finally got around to checking out the trailer. It doesn't look especially high-fidelity, but it's aimed at the switch, which seems okay. Some of the gameplay seems to harken back to the original game, which isn't a bad thing. It doesn't impress me, but it seems okay gameplay-wise for the platform. Story and art elements are a bit more questionable. Either way, it's no Sands of Time.

Did not like. They both tried to retread the same stuff but do a dark-and-edgy revamp. No bueno. Sands of Time was some excellent storytelling and puzzle crafting, and the combat wasn't bad. The PC port of Sands of Time was abysmal, unfortunately. PS3 was much better.

Yeah. That's one reason I like the idea of backwards compatibility in consoles. My PS3 can still play all my PS1 and PS2 games, and I didn't bother with PS4. PS5 has a few but it's not in the budget.

I like Ark, but not for the same reason most people do. I don't like the survival part much, and once you have your base built up, it goes from being a struggle to being pretty much solved. I have zero interest in PVP and all the base raiding shenanigans that a lot of the game is balanced around. I like dinosaurs and getting to fly on them. That part is great.
