What tools do people use to track their board game collection? I looked at Board Game Geek but it seems to be missing basic features. I want something where I can filter my collection by board game or card game, adult or family friendly, min players and max players. Ideally something that can also handle games with specific requirements for number of players, like Captain Sonar which needs 2/4/6/8 players. I also want others to be able to see my inventory. If I can't find one that meets all of those requirements I'll end up making my own.

Gad a Starfield quest dream.
Travelling space and there was a ship, a very very long ship, just cargo, long hauling lots of stuff. Probably 15 blocks long with a small cabin at the back for navigation and living. It was some kind of space hoarder group. They had a weapon that would instantly immobilise your ship.
What they would do is hit you with it unnanounced, take your ship, and then not kill you, but leave you outside of their cockpit at the back of the ship like a porch area while their ship got up to speed, through an asteroid belt no less, and you would fly off into space if you didn't manage to save yourself.
What was weird about the quest in my dream is that, I tried a few times and it was like persuasion checks and you'd find more info the longer you talked. But what would happen is if you fail then you'd retain the previous knowledge from before. "Oh yeah we work for the blah blah group". You fail and die but then next respawn it's like you say "oh yeah I know you work for the blah blah group" and the guy watching you die is like "what, how can he know this?".
I tried to run to the front of the ship by climbing on top of it but I didn't make it all the way. Like a sort of jumping puzzle I guess, speed parkour to find your ship or take over theirs perhaps. In the end I got 14 out of 15 speed checks before I woke up.

so i've been trying out different versions of "The Typing of the Dead".. basically the PC Version, Dreamcast Version and the Arcade Version
I'm playing with the idea of making a Naomi Control Panel to mount two keyboards.. basically like a little conversion kit..
I kind of wanna make it compatible with every Dreamcast keyboard there is.. maybe even a few off the shelf modern keyboards..
i think the way i'd use it i'd go emulation as i don't really wanna sacrifice a dreamcast or my DIMM Module just for typing of the dead..
As the arcade version is Japanese only it has some interesting quirks.. there are two modes.. one mode you can use Latin Characters OR Japanese.. on the other mode it's mixed.. some words are either Hiragana and Katakana other are Romanji or Hiragana/Katakana.. most of the times the japanese words are much shorter.. giving those who can type japanese an advantage

basically the kit would consist of a control panel and some aluminium profiles and a few nuts/bolts and other gubbins to mount the keyboard
i probably said little because the original typing of the dead naomi control panel has a custom cabinet part that pertrudes out of the regular control panel
i was thinking about offering the same as just the control panel piece.. around 63 by 29cm
and the reason i'm speaking of a kit is that i'm thinking about making a small run of it to sell off
mainly because having just one piece made and powdercoated is pretty expensive.. the more i'd order the cheaper it would get
possible price progression.. this example is just of a blank control panel without the extra holes
if i could get my order to around 10 pieces it would be a reasonable price to pay for everyone.. possible even with 6 or 7

I always thought it uses a spring. It's an "air pistol". The barrel compresses down causing an air chamber to become pressurised. It's very strong.
