#Wondertrade SQL Config Help

I have a new small server for friends that I'd like to use Wondertrade on. I am aware that you need SQL and that you need to configure it with the SQL specifications of the server- I have SQL (I host my server via g.portal), and I have tried to input the SQL specifications in the config file correctly. It hasn't worked, however, as far as I can tell. The /wt and /wondertrade commands pop up when you enter the "/", but it goes no further than that- there are no further inputs you can add, and as far as I can tell there isn't a wondertrade pool.

If someone is tech savvy, I'm fairly sure I've just input the SQL specifications into the config file wrong, and I think that could be fixed with just a few minutes of assistance. I can provide screenshots and such of specifics if needed.

Let’s see your config

I've passed it along.

bronze cape

?

errant dune
#

I sent you a DM containing the screenshots, as I'm not sure if posting them is a security risk or anything.

bronze cape
#

Just take out the username and password

errant dune
#

Fair enough, one moment.

bronze cape
#

Either way, you need to change the database name in your config

#

You have it set to WonderTrade but thats not the name of the database you are using

errant dune
#

I had the database in the config file matching the SQL (as in, I copied the database of the SQL and pasted it into the Wondertrade config file). It didn't work then either.

bronze cape
#

You still need to change the database name to match the database you are using, otherwise its trying to use credentials for a database that doesnt exist or doesnt have permissions for

errant dune
#

Alright, so I should copy the SQL database name and paste it into the config file?

bronze cape
#

database: db_1580256_1

errant dune
#

Aye, alright, done so. Is there anything else you can glean that's wrong?

bronze cape
#

Not with your config

#

Just boot it up and see what happens

errant dune
#

Alrighty. Wish me luck.

#

Still doesn't do anything. The commands show up, ostensibly cannot be used.

bronze cape
#
  1. Do you have permissions
  2. Send any errors
errant dune
#
  1. I'm OP'd, yeah.
  2. Entering those commands doesn't even register in the console, at least. The only reference I found in the console was included in the original message.
#

I'm sorry that this seems to be a more troublesome issue than I thought originally.

coarse inlet
#

are you using luckperms or any perms plugin?

#

if so give yourself minecraft.command.wondertrade perms

errant dune
#

No plugins, no sidemods, nothing like that.

#

Well. Besides, theoretically, Wondertrade, harhar.

coarse inlet
#

delete yo config

#

and then let it regen

#

it worked for me

#

just config.yml

#

nothing else

sand bison
#

Well that's because you're using the JSON saving

#

if they want help for why their SQL isn't connecting then that's not particularly helpful

#

Are you running Arclight

#

Or just pure forge

errant dune
#

Forge.

sand bison
#

IH NO

#

DON@T USE THAT

#

No 1.16.5 version

errant dune
#

(Probably. This is set up via a host, I don't actually know what Arclight is, but I've seen a Forge server file being used)

#

Okay, I won't use it, what should I use

sand bison
#

Just trying to find it now

errant dune
#

Gotcha, I can be patient, thanks much

sand bison
#

That should work

errant dune
#

Do I just slap this into the mods folder for the server?

sand bison
#

Yea

errant dune
#

Alrighty, will let you know the end result.

sand bison
#

Coolio

errant dune
#

Alright, it's now a different problem.

#

Which is progress.

sand bison
#

Send your new log now pls

errant dune
sand bison
errant dune

It is for 1.16.5, but if this works I will simultaneously feel very silly and feel extremely thankful that the wait to use Wondertrade is over. One moment.

sand bison
#

Yeah the version you're using won't work with anything past like 9.0.4 or something like that

errant dune
#

The battle is not over. "/wt 6" works, but it cannot be confirmed. Other wondertrade commands appear to function, as I tested the regenpool thing.

sand bison
#

uh

#

What do you mean it cannot be confirmed

coarse inlet
sand bison
#

@coarse inlet I wasn't talking to you so there's no need for you to reply

errant dune
sand bison
#

Can you send me your log

#

and what did you type exactly, the second time?

errant dune
#

I tried both /wt 6 and /wt 6 confirm (the latter giving me "incorrect slot number")

sand bison
#

Just do

#

/wt 6

#

/wt 6

errant dune
#

I did, yeah

sand bison
#

That doesn't show any commands being run

#

Can you send your client logs

errant dune
sand bison
#

Also not telling me the commands you ran

#

Make a gif of you doing it

errant dune
#

I don't know how, but I am telling you I ran the same command twice.

#

./wt 6
