What do you think about the idea of introducing battlegrounds, like Warsong Gulch in World of Warcraft, with a focus on capture-the-flag gameplay between teams?

they asked for player input regarding different game modes (including capture the flag) and a variety of other things in a player survey a few weeks back, I don't know if any information regarding the survey has been posted

That sounds great! I think it's an incredible idea. With the game base they have, they could create dozens of game modes

Are you sure you want more than 3 hunters shooting you at once? 😬

A battleground pvp with full loot and one life? How is that possible?

You don't lose your gear, and you just respawn. Maybe they offer some blue/purple gear at the start or have gear brackets. This actually sounds really fun. Throw in an arena mode.

Battlegrounds are 100% a good idea, I’ve been harping on them for a while now lol.

Personally I feel like the way to go for the gear and everything would be to have a “battleground” tab in the lobby. This idea comes from GW2 SPvP.

Basically in this tab you can select what gear, potions, class tools, bandages you want to have equipped when you enter the BG. It doesn’t really matter what rarity of gear for now at least as long as everyone is on the same rarity.

This way when you enter in your build is preset and ready to go.

This is from another comment I made but I’ll repost it here.

So I believe they need something for experienced and new players alike. They need a place to go have fun and PvP without losing gear. Not only would this give the experience players a fun alternative for pvp(which would hopefully keep them out of the newbi zone) but also a place for new people to learn PvP and practice with out losing everything they just spent 15 minutes gathering.

Now I feel like I have harped on getting Battlegrounds a little too much but I do believe it would help not just new players learning to PvP but also giving experienced players a outlet for PvP that isn’t stealing all of a new players stuff.

And they already have something resembling battlegrounds in the game…deathmatch. The only problem with deathmatch is that it usually gets boring pretty quick. We need an objective base battleground for everyone to participate in.

I believe this would not only retain experienced players but also new players. It provides a safe environment to learn PvP while being enjoyable, fun and a repeatable experience for veteran players.
