I understand not being able to put a duos mode in because of player count. How about replacing trios with duos? I suggest doing a large poll for the community to decide. Why not let the community decide? We are the enjoyers of your game after all. Thumbs up for duos, Thumbs down for trios.

This might be controversial of a suggestion but I agree with this. Game seems to have more duos. I don't want to see the playerbase split into a third queue but I'd have no qualms about trio dropped in place of a duo queue (until the playerbase grows)

I also don't think balancing for duos is in a bad spot either

i see this issue arise EVERYDAY in general chat : "bring duos mode" - and theres no one that really argues with it other than the "yeah but the playerbase right now doesnt support it". so it seems like everyone WANTS duos, but knows the playerbase doesnt support it, well how about just trading in trios for duos.

there is an issue with trio queue right now where you got teams of 3, and all they see is teams of 2 or 1. so right now trios doesnt even feel like a full lobby anyways. duo queues would feel infinitely more full

I’m with it. I’ve got a few friends that play but we always end up being a duo fighting trios or auto fill and just have a random third looting everything as we kill players and PvE.

The map feels too easy with 3 players anyway. It seems more balanced for duos.

I'm in favor of duos over trios right now.. I do think there should be a point where solos duos and trios should be able to all exist together.. but right now, i think duos should be the way.

I don’t think implementing duos alongside solos and trios is a good idea but I honestly wouldn’t mind if they added duos and removed either solos or trios.

Well, I mean the people that are enjoying trios are going to spam. Atta trios every day when there’s already one I personally think that trios is way more important, especially once they actually create more advanced bosses and mechanics but yes, for now I can see duo being just as important as trio, although personally trios actually better for creating new friends and creating strong relationships because you’re going to need more people in your fault.

Also, another important thing to consider in trios you can easily teach a noob how to play and still have a lot of fun where in duos there’s no way that the other person would be able to make up for a bad noob on their team

it comes from a place of preference then? Duos is fun unless I fight a good trip. but I like trips also. I'd want both of playercounts were not a factor, but trios is great. I like the uphill battle of a 2v3

I mean the harder map releasing soon will probably be more balanced around trios. right now Pve is easy enough for duos but imagine if the base enemy in the other map is the elite archer and they add stun immunity etc

I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other, but this is definitely a great question to be asking. Obviously they collect data on how people tend to queue up, but it would be good if they do an official poll on this topic.

It’s just objectively easier to balance the game around duos especially while the player base is relatively small. This needs to be a priority until the player base grows and then explore the possibility of adding trios at a later date. I really hope the dev team sees what their players actually want and implement it.

a game designed for trios is far superior than a game designed for duos. they are balancing for trios, and imo trios allow for a lot more flexibility in class choices

i've met many friendly players in this game and killed AI with them and such, there absolutely should never be a rule banning organic teaming, and there won't be. If you don't like that then extraction games likely aren't for you.

this thread isnt about teaming persay, its about the benefits of a duos, and one benefit is it would cut down on solo teaming.

I like both. Keep trios and put in duos. Would be nice to see it kinda like the Cycle did it where there is a little bit of mmr to it...
-remove the choice to select which queue you're in
-if you queue solo you go in against solos and real low mmr duos
-if you queue duo you fight really high mmr solos, regular duos, and low mmr trios
-if you queue as trio you fight only trios and real high mmr duos

I'd be okay with duos being added even if it temporarily lessens the amount of people on the map a bit. (our player base is growing though) It might even encourage more people to play more regularly and increase the number of active players.

Currently, I play with random trios most of the time - which is hit or miss, but I always am able to have a full team and have no trouble finding a couple team fights per match if we want to or even if we don't want to 🤣. The added mode, might not lessen the player amount very noticeably anyways. 🤷

I don't think trios should be dropped though, three person teams are quite fun to play! Especially if you're all in voice chat together. Randos can be sketchy, but I still mostly play those as I don't have any friends with the time to commit to a game like this right now. My son plays with me here and there, but he prioritizes League of Legends right now. If there were duos, he'd play more since he doesn't care for the random third since it can lead to bad team fights.

Maybe they should just add duos, see how it goes and if it is sustainable? If it does not work - drop it and try again later . 🤷

Maybe even have it be a solo/duo mode with solo players getting a buff instead of keeping a pure solo mode? That might be fun.

Just some ideas.

sorry but player base is not growing. im afraid the executives forced the devs hand and didnt allow the game to have time to develop. game needed 3 more months atleast imo. hopefully season 2 with wizard launch will revive playerbase and grow it

we'll be alright dw. It's not lacking players because it's not good, just a lot of people don't know about it. They didn't even pay for a steam ad when the game launched.

Can the devs please look back at this post now that hes banned and realize that carthy wanted duos some him and his butt buddy judgelyfe could exploit on rogue easier, not for the benefit of the community. Further splitting the player base when its around 1k isnt a good play and playing 2v3 is not hard.
