#Unarmed Needs to Burn Stamina.
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Also, if unarmed burn stamina, you'd be at a disadvantage still (3vs1) so it doesn't make sense what you're proposing vs the scenario you've given
if anything, I want the devs to actually make unsheathe take longer to happen
At this rate it just becomes:
I have to run forever because they are never going to stop chasing. There is no giving up when you can run infinitely. Maybe some classes need to burn more or less stamina while running. Regardless this meta of people being able to run at you legitimately for as long as they want is lame. Needs a change.
Run them into another team
Yeah let me pull a random team out of my ass to then run across the map and pull them into that team. I will for sure do that.
If you can run forever run to a hotspot theres a 70% chance theres another team there
Really not that hard to escape people
well not out of your ass 😂 but I mean you can get creative
so far I've done this twice (running 2 teams into each other) and running like a little rat
Bro, it's not that simple when warrior can blow his horn and spam charges to gap close while the rogue is sweating across the map towards me, ranger shooting at me. I'm convinced this game needs equip loads and that you should not be able to sprint forever. Maybe much longer while sheathed. But not forever how it is currently.
yeah warrior tbh shouldn't be able to outrun ranger
or rogue
And regardless if they don't give up, I'm legit forced into running forever. I can't 1v3 especially when they're wearing gear. My team ran off and I didn't notice until it was too late. Could I do better? probably. Is it still lame and needs a change? I think so.
Tbf you can dodge a warrior charge while sprinting just change your canera angle to see or listen to the audio queue
It is difficult
yeah.. you need to flip your camera to see where he's charging at but he should be punished for missing his charge
Thanks for the advice but IMO the the fact still remains that people can force you into having to run literally forever if they don't want to stop chasing.
But i think people should have a possibility to catch you if they are going 3v1 especially
but what do you suggest that should make it better ?
Yeah thats fair
A possibility, sure. Inevitably catching peple because you can run forever with no punishment? Kinda lame.
Its not inevitable… me and others have escaped 3v1 many times
Equip loads at the very least so that I don't have warriors keeping up with me in terms of speed and stamina when I'm a ranger..... That'd be a start.
because if we start making some classes way faster than others, some classes will always be cought and killed and it won't be fun for them
Many people give up some dont, if they dont theres other ways to make them give up
equip load seems legit
So rangers can kite to infinity?
That's the reason there's gear in the game. Heavier armor should make you a little slower but make you tankier. Not just be tanky and have all the same speed as everyone else. Idk how that makes sense.
Thats not the reason there is gear in THIS game
it doesn't make sense which is why I agreed initially with you, warrior shouldn't be faster than rogue which is agile
Exactly. There should be pros and cons. Not just pros.
Currently feels as if there's no downside to using a warrior with really strong armor that makes you tanky af and also do way more dmg. No penalty. Just hella strong.
You can kite them on hunter just level up… warriors are very strong right now but there is counterplay
That's fine I don't think there is NO counterplay, however I think it's counterproductive to have a melee class with tank traits being able to move at the same speed as every other class. It just doesn't make sense
Also can't get to some spots as fast as all 3 other classes. Just saying
Extremely scenario based
Well... I would prefer to take high ground and reset fight...
Go ahead and do that when they catch you in the open with nowhere to run then
They play different enough within combat to make sense, a warrior and mage in WoW walk just as fast its the skills that give one or the other more mobility
Then you KITE
Like a hunter would
yeah my 100 dmg is going to do a whole lot to the warrior who is spamming warhorn to charge across the map while he's getting healed and a ranger is shooting me also!
I did... 😄
Why are you playing 3v1 and complaining that you are losing the fight
Why not play solo if you dont wanna be ganged and gabked
I mean running on priest is a bit of a cheat
I just drag the team to a castle wall and I levitate over the wall to another wall
but on hunter I dont' know I feel like it's a bit hard
Playing solo is just seeing how many rogues you can find in one game, man. Let's be real here.
So then play with fill? Or just escape the rogues?
Im seeing solutions you actively choose not to take
I did play fill and my team disappeared
fill is fun tbh and in EU I haven't been running into bad teammates so far
Follow them?
Havnt found any bad teammates in na either
They were with me, and then left. Got jumped before I even knew they left.
to be fair I had that happen once... the team I was with just started sprinting towards extraction on the first minute
Then my friend you need to be more aware
I think they just traded each other stuff and wanted to extract 😂
Or when I get a large gap between myself and a team I should be rewarded for it, not just ran down until the end of time? XD
Yeah sometimes happens, most people try to farm a bit but if they beeline straight there i just go and w again
If you have a large gap most people give up, if not you can always go extract and go again… or run to a hotspot and shake them off there
PvPvE for a reason
Take em to a boss or a hotspot take em to where players usually are
Not once have I been chased in this game where people give up. They know they can run forever, so they do.
Doubtfull you’re the only 4 people on the map
You must be very unlucky, people give up on me all the time
the game keep adding people every 5 mins I believe
which is why you see mobs respawn
Apparently so. Even with catching them in traps and kiting like you say I should. They just keep spamming movement abilities and x-running.
Theres no need to stop to use traps etc if you are sheathed with distance and running already
They cant catch you
If you get jumped thats different and your counterplay began way before that moment
Have you had a warrior spam warhorn and charge multiple times at you?
Yes and ive also seen it be dodged multiple times on stream
Well then I'm sure you're aware how hard they can gap close with that?
Sure if you are already close, if you spot a team (which you can from really far) either avoid them, or start keeping distance
They cant go up any z axis
So use them
You are acting like its impossible to get away from someone and it really isnt, this is one of the easier games to avoid pvp
On the same note it's also one of the easier games to force fights by endlessly running at people with no penalty.
PvPvE.
Not in the slightest because you can run straight to extraction and get out by surviving 15 seconds
PvP is the first...
Yeah that's if they don't decide to run into extract zone with you and try to kill you for that 15 seconds..... XDDD helloooo?
Theyll only have about 10 if you were actually running
Man... I had enough. 😄
And thats very survivable
People dont like hearing solutions just an echo chamber to confirm their complaints
yeah 1v3 super survivable man in a small area that you can't leave out of. you are so right.
Yes and once again its YOUR choice to randomly be 3v1
Im done with this topic because theres no point to it
Oh right so its not the enemy teams choice also to see someone and chase them all the way into extract and kill em before they can leave? Again you're right bro! so correct!
You have nothing of value to add just snarky comments so i think its a sinple skill issue, goodluck extracting 👍
Coming from the guy saying 1v3 is easily survivable when you're stuck in a tiny area that you can't leave out of otherwise the timer will reset and you'll be dead by then. XD you are coping man. Trying to act like you're good and defend dogshit. It's ok tho!
Skill issue l2play
Keep defending dogshit it's okay man! The devs really appreciate you white knighting it's gonna take you very far! 🙂
Refer to my last message
And realize that if u lost stamina u couldnt run from warriors soam charging sooooo
L2play
Calling something dogshit because thats what you are at the game is the ultimate cope
You still talkin? XD
L2play
You still talkin?

Still talking?
Still reacting? XDDDDDD
what happened bro
you're still goin even after u said that
Easy reactions 🙂
If we didn't auto-equip weapons when hit, it wouldn't be so bad when we wanted to run since they wouldn't be able to force to you slow as easybwithkut catching you with abilities.
They'd have to be really committed to hunting you to chase you all over the map. Most people would back down once you got out of ability range.
Sprinting should stay stamina free with weapons away or fights would really be difficult to disengage and it's already trick to start with.
I think forced combat is good otherwise it might be hard for ranged classes to stop you from escaping
I coukd see that being a bother to some. I mostly play priest in teams and fall into the healer support role, but I'm rarely concerned with chasing people. If they don't want to fight with me I'm not trying to make them. 🤷
If we're in combat I'm able to stun lock them pretty well between me and my rogue partner. Leading to death rather quickly.
The hunter can shoot people in the legs to root them. I believe it works on players as well as monsters.
This would be more apparent in solos or between two ranged characters that want to maintain distance, or even just finishing off someone who tries to disengage half way through a fight. Also plenty of reasons to try to kill someone who might not want to fight you atm (getting good loot during the session and not wanting to risk it for example)
I'm just not the kind who chases down people who don't engage me, if they engage one of us will likely die before escaping anyways.
If I try to engage and they just book it, I'm probably not going out of my way to get my party to hunt them, unless I'm really desperate or I'm playing with others and they want to.
Though if one solo person books it in a team match its my experience they're likely leading you to their waiting allies.
When I play solo, I'm just farming and looting with little desire to battle. (I prefer team fights and tactics) Sometimes I'll join to exclusively to duel but did so more in Alpha when you could rejoin a map easily to attempt to recover some of your dropped gear that wasn't looted on losses.
When I stumble on people I'll even ask "wanna fight?" if they say no or run away I let em, if they attack, say yes or don't respond I'll fight or run depending on what gear their wearing.
I mean thats fine if thats how you want to play but its just not feasible to expect that from most players, some people like chasing some people like fair fights some people like being griefers. Its not about desperation but about how others enjoy engaging with the game.
I don't expect anything from other players, just making my stance known. I didn't say it's about desperation for others, I just would need to be really down on gear to feel inspired to chase people who are already out of my kill zone.
Everyone should play how they like and have fun, but griefers in essence/definition aren't good since their whole motivation is cause others to have a bad time and that's just toxic.
For examole: people who spawn camp and don't even loot you. They kill you and make you lose your stuff wasting the good loot you drop.
Theres nothing toxic with killing people in a pvp game, spawn camping is different and toxic but PvPvE includes griefing especially if someones fighting a boss you want to kill or a mob with drops you want
I didn't say normal killing is griefing. Fighting over or snatching mobs/bosses from weakened players isnt what I'd call griefing- that's just pvpve 101. 🤷
Griefing is using exploits such as clipping into walls to attack and be untargetable or unfair situations such as camping extractions and spawns just to kill with no intent on looting, the goal is to be mean, not success.
If it's for loot that's one thing, but there are those who just want to stop your success or enjoyment for no practical reason. Those are toxic people aka griefers.
Fair it seems some people consider a rogue bringing a group of mobs and stealthing near you griefing so my fault if i misunderstood what you meant, using glitches wall exploits and spawn camping etc i think we bith agree is bad. Killing someone without any intent of looting them i dont think is a problem. There doesnt have to be a practical reason to kill someone in a pvp game and theres nothing toxic about killing someone just for the sake of doing it when its a major component of the game
Let me clarify - The not looting issue was tied to the glitch griefers and camping examples and more so to extract camping. All spawn camping and glitching is toxic in my mind.
Killing near extracts for gear makes sense, as another player said "prime hunting grounds". Might sucks as the one killed, but is a logical way to gain loot. I wouldn't do it personally, but I get it.
Mid game kills not being looted isn't toxic, just wasteful/silly.
Ahhhh okok i definitely misunderstood thanks for clarifying this i can agree with
