But the hardest difficulty which I'm on does still require a lot of parrying and dodging

And you get to do extra damage if you parry enough you might get a counter attack

And you also get more AP (attack points) on the parries which are spent in the stronger skill attacks

Parries are quite a tight timing though

And you basically have to learn it for all attack animations of all enemies

I find the parry/dodge system amazing because this is a turnbased game where overleveling doesn't remove all of the challenge

Honestly I find turn based games with dodging or parring more exciting since it’s more about your skill and less of a grind game

Yeah, I don't see why people even say that "turn based games are a stratigical challenge" unless it's like Fire Emblem on Maddening or HC Nuzlocke of Pokemon, because there is almost always the option to just grind until you overlevel and skip the challenge, and a lot of the time those games expect you to grind at one point or another if you skip all of the optionals at least

Like sure E33 doesn't tell what levels any of the enemies are, but I think that's good and you'll notice quite early on anyways that you aren't really doing any damage relative to their hp bar even if you are doing like 9k per hit

The whole point of the E33 combat is that levels don't matter if you are good enough at parrying/dodging

Just parry everything

But yeah sometimes it's just fun to read idiots complaining and not making any sense

Maybe the negative E33 reviews are people paid by AAA devs that are mad that this game "stole" their GOTY

Oh yeah, there was also the AI slop case because they forgot in like 1 or 2 placeholder posters in the starting city of the game when that starting city has like 50+ posters in total, also it's just placeholder 2D art so should an artist spend 5-10min making or 5-10min typing a prompt, downloading and importing it

Like it literally doesn't matter at that point if the artist makes it themselves or uses AI for it, it's just people who have no idea about what the term placeholder means in game dev art complaining about it

Also there is a bunch of companies that use AI in gamedev but never tell the customers about it, so if anything it's good that the E33 devs are honest
