with frisk no matter what motivation you think they climbed the mountain for, the soul was helping them go on a great fun adventure in an unfamiliar place and make new friends (ignoring genocide here because like they were being corrupted and all that so not a fair test, but yeah), so if they went there to adventure then the soul was helping with that, if they went there because they were lonely and depressed then the soul was helping with that
with kris they lived in this town anyway, the soul is impacting their relationships with people they know, people they like already, and they just don't want that to happen, but then they need the soul for whatever this plan is to presumably save dess (? idk at least i hope it's something like that and not more evil) so they can't just get rid of this so there's obvious resentment there, the soul is taking away kris's control, kris's freedom, even outside of weird route it's doing that
i think that's why the resentment is so much more clear in weird route though, the soul's taking away so much more of kris's freedom there and so much more explicitly, but on top of that it's also directly negatively affecting kris's friends in ways that aren't just "oh kris is different now" and in doing that is taking away their freedom too
honestly i do think there's going to be an interesting conversation to be had in future chapters (not a literal conversation necessarily, but i think there'll be tension shown and explored there) in how the soul has directly positively impacted kris's life in one major way with their friendship with susie
thinking about it now after typing that, it would be heartbreaking if kris doesn't feel that friendship that much (they clearly feel it to some extent, but yeah) and us (because yeah we're the soul) seeing their friendship as so great is another thing of us defining kris and their relationships
the main character susie agenda is going to be so sad for whatever ends up happening to kris imo

You take control of Noelle and you fight the fun gang to a remix of Megolovania or Hopes and Dreams. You have actions to mock Kris, Susie, and Ralsei, and you need to do that for each of them to progress the battle. Ralsei's will say something like, "You told Ralsei he doesn't matter, but he now knows that he matters more to his friends than he can understand." Susie's can say something like, "You told susie she can't change her fate, but that doesn't seem to make her not want to try." You build up TP throughout the battle until you have enough to use snowgrave, and it freezes everyone. Kris's soul shatters and the screen goes black.
After a 5-second pause, the text "But it refused..." appears onscreen, and Kris's soul reforms. You now go into a phase 2 where you fight Kris alone with Susie and Ralsei still frozen. You can keep knocking down Kris, but their soul keeps fixing itself. After you get enough TP to cast snowgrave, the screen goes black again, but this time the rainbow SAVE icon appears, and kris presses it. Now susie and ralsei get back up and phase 3 starts.
Each of them now fight you, and they don't do much damage, but they won't die. Once your HP is drained, susie and ralsei fire a Duel Buster onto you, knocking Noelle (who you are still possessing) down. Kris jumps to Noelle, and uses his soul to remove you from Noelle's body, and seal you away like the titan.
This fight could even work in reverse for the normal route with you controling the fun gang as normal
