The copy ability fusion mechanic is really interesting. Wouldn’t work today though with the many copy abilities we have and expanded movesets but that’s what makes Crystal Shards fun to go back to

It absolutely would work. Even if they didn’t do a 64 take, they could do the Star Allies version of copy ability fusion.
Adding two copy abilities to make a new copy ability is just coding a new copy ability. It’s that simple.

I did find the elemental weapons in Star Allies pretty interesting with how they could change the behaviour also. I also remember other copy abilities could mix too to preform a big attack. It’s a shame Star Allies wasn’t seen as the greatest game as it did have some interesting ideas

Tbr I've never played it with anyone else but I do know if one person pauses, it pauses for everyone, but its still pretty good imo
Plus it made DMK a thing and somehow Meta Knight can be more edgy than he already is
I just noticed that the WiKirby page that I was looking at for the games dont have it in release order which is what I was originally wanting to do 😭

Amazing Mirror is a game I really wish I could have played with others but even alone I found the big connected world pretty cool and it was fun to explore. I never did end up beating the final boss though there are a lot of phases

this one is a little bit of a tough one for me, cause like I like the stomach storage idea and it has the spray paints but like, other than Daroach, a chiptune version of the Legendary Air Ride Machine, and element mixing, it doesnt have too much thats memorable about it

Yeah honestly this was one of the less notable Kirbys mechanic wise but it’s my childhood so I’m biased. I also think getting chased by the Squeak Squad after taking a big chest is interesting

The super versions of copy abilities are really satisfying to use. Speaking of copy abilities this game had a really good variety of them too. Me and my brother also had a lot of fun in multiplayer playing as the rest of the cast. Also shoutouts to that dinky ass Kirby song

my first Kirby game (technically), when I played it and got to the ending I was like "huh this game is a little weird" and stuff like that... LITTLE DID I KNOW 
cause I never really played a Kirby game before KTD, I did play Adventure but it was like only the first level and I didnt really know what to do
and i dont think I really looked into anything Kirby before playing either cause I had found him through smash brawl and was like "I like Kirby

Fun fact: you can do more moves and possess more abilities with the Robobot armor than there are abilities and moves in Forgotten Land (because there are barely any copy abilities and they removed movesets for everything but Sword)

even though the style is kinda overstaying its welcome being the 4th game with the same style, I really like the friendship style it takes
the elemental combinations I really like, plus letting us play as Meta Knight and Dark Meta Knight in The Ultimate Choice (idk why they couldnt call it The Arena) and the introduction of Morpho Knight
WHO, I might add, was from one of the scrapped Kirby GCN games that was turned into RtDL, I really wish we managed to get that game though I really wanna know what they would've done with it (though RtDL is my favorite Kirby game so at least theres that)

And that is critical for me. That’s like the center point of Kirby. It’s what elevates it above Mario.
Forgotten Land was absolute, negative whiplash after Star Allies (and Battle Royale) for copy abilities
I hope the next Kirby game has FUN level design and a PEAK original soundtrack

I'll say I never played this one, although I have played it once at my friend's house. I don't remember anything about it really, especially as 2 player. Although I will say this has my favorite OST of all Kirby games because it has like every Kirby song lol
