#VMMap update/installation problem

Sounds like you should reach out to the portable apps site
@slender bramble Not that you'd want to do this regularly, but you can grab the whole Sysinternal suite https://download.sysinternals.com/files/SysinternalsSuite.zip and dump it wherever you'd like. If you're going full gonzo, also integrate Nirsoft's launcher: https://launcher.nirsoft.net/downloads/index.html for extreme utilitopia
I did. I downloaded the package from there and tried to install manually. Same result.
I figured it like that with first attempt. I downloaded the package from sys internals.com and extracted to the path and rewrote to the old ones. It works okay but in the update page there is an alert for the old version.
IDK why the versioning would be inaccurate. Haven't checked if these are covered in winget/choco/scoop. I've very rarely had issues with the Portable Apps platform, and nothing that couldn't be easily fixed.
I will try to find source of this problem. I don't know what can I say. It's bizarre.
It bears pondering. @narrow glade has the right idea, see if there's anything the devs have. Or maybe you found an original bug.
I created a topic, we will see.
I don't have any return from the App forum. I created a new usb nvme ssd. The same problem continues. I plugged in my new medicat usb, there was a new portable apps update v26, and I did it (I lost my beautiful medicatusb theme but i handled it). There were a lot of app updates after checking new updates, all apps updates are realized except VMMap.
Mine failed also with the same vmmap. But the URL to the vmm zip on sysinternals worked manually in browser. So it's still a ?. (found out just how slow an older USB2 is at many small writes, same platform update) I suppose a post is needed to our fellow kids, ah, fellow MediCats.
I think there is a problem about portableapps launcher. I would like to update all apps without updating launcher. I updated VMMap to latest version (3.33) manually. And I am waiting for an answer from Portable apps.
Update: Update is coming for portableapps launcher.
