i had the same problem, in my case, my client never loaded and always logged in as guest, turns out i got blocked from some IPs like the feather services, forge and optifine domains (and a lot other domains, i dont know why or how) so i changed my IP and formatted my pc and all good now, it connects with everything as it should.
