I seem to have fixed it by just switching versions. I went up from 1.21.4 to 1.21.5 and restarted the launcher a gazillion times until the menu just popped up. Maybe that'll work for you too

Oh and maybe try forcing a certain resolution

Hi so i've had this issue for a while where my launcher just wouldn't launch unless i'd close and restart 30 times and it magically starts working. I thought it was a one time thing but it's been happening for 3 weeks and i can't seem to find anyone else with this problem.

I get these logs and then it just stops forever (i have tried waiting 30 minutes before and it didn't change)

I'm not sure why the first line is in dutch but it translates to: a connection attempt failed because the connected party did not respond properly after a certain time, or the established connection failed because the connected host did not respond (or something along those lines)
