Actually it does give an animation, but it's laggy (My frames aren't low so this cant be the problem)

I've tried using a mod called "Smooth Scrolling" and the same thing happens with it too

Smooth scrolling and smooth chat all work on other clients for me just not feather

Fair enough, Optifine doesnt support fabric, so trying to use it on fabric is kind of pointless, but if it works for you, then it works. There's no real reason to use Optifine though; it does nothing that those two mods cant

I need Optifine to see custom textures. If I download Sodium, it won't be possible to see something like in the screenshot.

As far as I know, Optifine isnt the only mod that allows you to see these type of custom textures, If you want to give me a server that has these custom textures on it, I'll load into it without optifine and see if they load properly for me

I also never claimed sodium to be anything related to textures, resources or shaders. It's a performance mod

Normally takes a minute for it to load. If it doesnt load after a few minutes, the server you're on might have a ping display plugin, which could cause it to break

This is a guess, no real idea to be honest. It doesnt work for me in McPvP either
