Hi guys,

I’m hosting a Minecraft server through Feather’s proxy, and I’m trying to use Simple Voice Chat on it. However, I noticed that the UDP port required for voice chat (24454) appears to be closed/sealed from outside connections.

Voice chat works fine locally on the host machine, but other players can’t connect or authenticate because the port isn’t accessible.

Is there any way to fix this? Do I need to ask support to open or forward the UDP port 24454? Or is there a recommended workaround to get voice chat working on Feather proxy hosting?

they won't do that because of cost for the required infrastructure. Your best bet would be to not use their proxy.

The error (I had to look up what BMC5 was) is that BMC5 was made for NeoForge, not Forge. Even though the names sound similar, they are two different modloaders — and mods or modpacks made for NeoForge won’t work with Forge

No, NeoForge doesn’t have a single ‘custom server jar’ inside any folder like net. Instead, it launches the server through a script (run.bat) that loads multiple jars and libraries together. So you won’t find one combined server .jar file inside the NeoForge folders.

(I've never made a NeoForge Server but maybe its possible that you can set the installation directory to your server folder during the NeoForge installer stage)

This had happened to me too, try and reinstall the launcher and if that doesnt work try restarting your pc. Make sure you ** Fully ** uninstall the luancher by going to settings (Windows + i) - apps - feather launcher - uninstall and complete the process.

Hey, one of my friends was trying out feather client the other day(I've been using it for a while now) but he couldn't join any of the servers that Feather client wasn't partnered with. For example, he could join PvP Legacy or the Flamefrags server but not PvP club or Stray PvP. Have any of you been having this issue as well and does anyone know how to fix it?

Yesterday minecraft wouldn't start so I had to force quit it, but when I tried to restart from Feather it got stuck on downloading. I didn't have time to address it as it was getting late and I turned off my device.
Today it's still doing this. It has been like this for 5-10 minutes by now I think. It was initially on 1.21.5 and I needed to load 1.21.4 anyways so I switched over to see if that was the problem but apparently not
