If anyone's looking for disabling the item enlarging in tooltips, you can toggle "Tooltip Item Stack Icon" in the tooltips mod to remove the large icon. This way you don't have to disable tooltip mod completely, in case you are using the tooltip modification aspect of it for durability/enchantments/scrolling/etc :)
