Well, i found out that Feather itself is telling java (through an arg) to start up with G1GC, and I think it's the file in the app folder (not the minecraft folder). When i try to change it, it just doesn't work, and Feather Client doesn't even open (the launcher).
I did some research and basically all JRE come with Shenandoah, as well as G1GC and others. So the solution i found: use a different client 🫡
Feather served me well though, apart from extremely bad lag spikes (i averaged ~90 fps, with lag spikes of 0fps that lasted for 10-30 secs). I switched to prism launcher (is it good?)
Another thing i noticed, was that using fabric as my mod loader seemed to have more lag spikes than Neoforged, in fact, with neoforge, i can run 18 render distance with fewer lag spikes than fabric on anything.

Here are my specs, if you wanted to know:
