you disable optifine and get things that are actually good, like Sodium, Lithium, and any other alternatives(CIT Resewn, Fabric Skyboxes, Iris, et cetera.) if you're using it for CIT and that sort of stuff.

Its the mods problem, if the creators of the mod dont update the mod, you wont be able to play with optifine. I suggest you download sodium with indium and iris. If you dont want to do those things just try another version of minecraft and see if that works.
