That should be fine... what I'd try to recommend is lowering the RAM you have set in your server, then see if it fixes your issue. I think you're allocating 7GB in your server, 2GB in the client, then you only have a few GB to spare... so I'd set your server to 4GB, try playing and see if your crash again in the future.

1.8.9 is a bit difficult since there aren’t many mods for Forge 1.8.9. Your best bet is to install Optifine, tweak the options and set Graphics to Fast, and turn on Fast Render.
